Yeah that shit is fucking insane to me. Glad I never found that shit when I was younger! I got asked to do some sketchy (to me) stuff when I was doing the big farm game which I declined to participate in. I was just a dumb stoner trying to grow some weed to smoke

It's still around, alive and kickin' in 2024 for sure. Our county sheriff here in my part of CO had his hands full after legalization. All of a sudden cartel grows showing up all over out here. They were raiding 20+ grows a month every Fall for years. They finally got rid of most of them. There's still one scary motherfucker running around my neighborhood, taking over empty houses and growing in them. Hopefully they get his ass, soon. I know with 100% certainty he took over one of my friends' house after he left to stay with family for a while. And he has taken over 2 other properties out here that I know of. Dude doesn't speak a fuckin word of English and looks like he'd slit your throat and kiss his children in one fell swoop.

Im on salary and tend to be pretty on the ball with taking care of more important responsibilities over there. I dont really have a set schedule. Ive got the grounds crew at this point to where they know what theyre doing most of the time without my input. And a bit of the time im there im just there so the board see's me there doing stuff frequently. I just forgot today was labor day and not any other monday. I knew it was kitchen and clubhouse only on labor day, but it being labor day today just hadnt come up in my day to day goings ons in a while lmao. Got two concerts and a corporate luncheon this week though. And some pro-am golf tournament coming through this weeknd. Bout to get a lot busier.

Yeah not a good idea to leave any property unattended/unoccupied out here. Every property is either a 35 or 40 acre plot. I have 2 40 acre plots side by side, and completely fenced off with 6 strand barbed wire. I've got trail cameras, cellular cameras and ip cameras all over the place like Fort Knox because I'm often the only one here, and being the paranoid/ptsd Army vet that I am, well let's just say, nobody's takin this shit from me alive
