if you back off/dim the light for a few days theyll recover a little bit faster faster. It strips the surface tannins and the cystolithic trichome resins right out of the leaves. Some plants produce/need more of that then others do but its part of a plant's exposure protection. Its not the alcohol doing damage, technically, it's the exposure and the oxidation of tissues.

It’s pretty liberating! Just did my first one the other day! Got a little aggressive this evening trying it again on another plant and now I have another cutting in the cloner!(Thats Capts Genius pro tip) it’s nice to see other newer growers doing things and breaking down the barriers! Hope your plant recovers well for you!
