Decent delivery day other than that though, new 3” grinder arrived, got my fish sh!t apeed controller seems good, the fan is a 4” usb powered fan I chose so it’s not overpowered for the tiny tent size

But then just happened to have my 1 gallon grow bags next to me and said hmm this would be a pretty cool micro grow opportunity with the 100w PL1000 it should be PLENTY of light for a 2x2 with only 32” height total

Then saw my 12 gallon grow bags and said… hmm why use 1 gallon when I can fit 6 gallons…. Folded the 12g down in half to gain headspace. Gunna need to be a low topping, maybe double then quick spread into a net with a quick flip got the PL1000 over the SF1000 only because the phlizon has a dimmer and I don’t have the height to pick up the SF higher


Fun incoming… 2x2 micro scrog? Fuck yes! Once these 2 reversals are done in there I know what I’m doin lol

Oh and all my greenleaf nutrients are here maybe the mini scrog will be a good place to test those out

useful info "the more ya know" style. A little hermie schoolin' if ya will.

When you break branches, the way the hermie flowers form is a bit different then the way they form on stress induced hermies and genetic hermies.

When you break branches, the female preflowers themselves will often form a little clutch of male stamen from the ovule itself and pop out of the female preflower calyx. Things like overspraying pesticides and stuff can cause this kinda hermie too. Can happen anywhere on the plant.

Spraying silver causes the plant to grow full formed male flowers where some or all of the female calyxes would have formed. They even form in dense colas like female flowers though, not all leggy like natural male flowers.

Early flower stress induced hermies produce the same kind of hermie flowers as branch breaks, can pop up anywhere, but usually on the most light deprived parts of the plant.

Late flower stress induces hermies produce single partially formed bare male stamen in the tops of the flower clusters, these are what i personally call bananas.

Genertic hermies produce fully formed male flowers within the female clusters no matter what you do, and will produce more seed that does the same. This is usually caused by not keeping track of your recessive traits while breeding. plants that stress hermie very easily in early flower, cross bred, often produce these plants in high rates in their offspring. Which is why bagseed often produces genetic hermies along side females these days, rather then male plants along side females.


The totem pole order i personally hold for making fem seeds of high quality and good hermie resistance.

#1: Late flower bare stamen
#2: Stress tested female phenos hit with silver
#3: Branch break/stress induced early flower stamen
#4: Colloidal silver spraying without stress testing.

Genetic hermie pollen

I personally dont consider genetic hermies suitable for making fem seeds at all, even if at worst you get a 50% genetic hermie rate (they basically just replace the males in most genotypes this happens to) . And be careful forcing untested phenos to hermie with colloidal silver and pollenating other un stress tested feminized plants. Because that is how you inadvertently stack recessive traits and create genetically bound hermies without even realizing it. If you do that, it's a very good idea to make damn sure you are making an F1 and not an inbred plant (no recently shared heritage).


I test phenos for stress hermie willingness by repeatedly drought stressing and nute burning them after they recover from the drought lol. Will be doing a stress run on all my current tent phenos after this flower expression/light fem seed run. I dont like stress testing with a broken branch in flower, because even plants that dont respond well to colloidal silver will hermie from a good branch break lol. Much like bare stamen, you just dont get as many viable seeds out of a branch break as you do colloidal silver spraying.

And then ill be deciding which seeds im hunting and which im not.


All fully hermaphrodite species of annual flowering plants (most of them, cannabis is somewhat special here) evolved into that through environmental stress, reproductive pressure, and inbreeding. But that is still what creates it within populations of cannabis, environmental stress, reproductive pressure, and uncontrolled inbreeding

Since you’re explaing it (the silver) figure I’ll thow this here as an example of the cola shaped sack stacks ( as you’ve explained this method is dangerous as far as potential herms) but it’s a good example of what you’re saying about the formation with silver, these were rooted then flipped, sprayed twice a day on every site where a flower would be expected to form. Only went this heavy due to the clones I chose to reverse being so small I wanted to maximize pollen production, I’ll have to test a few seeds on a 12/12 from seed to check how they do, but regardless the pheno will be saved and I’m sure I’ll get a bunch of potential winners out of it (in the future!

The cali blues that will be the recipient has been though about every ring I can throw at her including underrating multiple times, power failures, fans being off for 3 days cus I’m a moron… the cman x okie is tan though, no hermie traits found in a normal run and is doing well, the Frostette was the non herming pheno (herm pheno was chopped when I saw the nanners still have the photos of her so where she was beautiful too) so I’d say these will probably be right around the ratio you determined maybe 50:50 60/40 but that’s a risk I’m willing to take. As it’s purely ment to be a bean stacker run Plus the best way to learn somthing is to see it for yourself im a hands on learner horrible at reading, I prefer videos if I can find it if I’m trying to learn something visual examples are great for me lol

But yeah, you’ll get some of these hermie potential seed as well if they take and finish in time

2 2012 cement shoes (his 3rd run with them he said it’s his favorite strain he’s grown so far along, all his buddies agree and ask for it all the time) (from the fems I made)
1x plant from his buddy who was killed by police 4 years ago did was one of the main growers in the city and had his own strain he ran constantly for the past 10 years.

When he was killed they never found his plants (it was a domestic issue and he was on the right side and still got shot by the cops) brother in law knew where his plots were (only person who knew) and went and pulled a plant up and got it replanted. Excellent stain I gotta get a cut, may hit it with a tad of the Maui 86’ has been overwintered and revegged the past 4 years since he died

The one in the metal container is the 4 year reveg plant the strain has no name that we know of she stacks really nice and has a slight grapefruit aroma to her right now though so great host for the 86’ pollen if I can get 5-10 seeds off of it

The in law is my main seed tester, he could care left if he gets herms, he’ll run anything to finish and he’s not scared to run herm seeds lol he’s pulled some fire outta there off random stuff I’ve given him. He’s got a 10x10 I set up in his basement with 2 x FD6500’s 2x blurples (one of my old KingLEDs and another blurple)

He’s got another plant in there revegging now diddnt have time to take pics in there had to get goin to work lol did a quick walkthrough video of the outdoor though

Hes waitin on his new Frostette clones now for the winter run I’ll have to get some in the cloner for him soon, another month or so

Those plants I just posted, are in my mother in laws back yard brother in law is 43 still living at home. (Had t move back in he got hit by a snow plow while he was walking down a sidewalk about 3 years ago) 100% disability broke his back and neck, shattered collarbone, been though 4 surgeries now, can only stand or lay down, sitting puts him in extreme pain, he’s terrified of vehicles now takes me 3 hours to convince him to take a ride with me around the corner

So he just walks around his plants and tents all day and smokes (refuses his pain killers, ex addict, hell only smoke for pain relief, and supposedly the 2012 cement shoes is his preferred pain medicine out of every strain he or I have grown

Well, it was a good 48hrs of drama, screaming shit being thrown around, things breaking. Crazy little bitch called the law bc when I dropped here bags outside, I didn’t pack her charging cables. Now this dude ain’t answering that door knock, so wifey handled it, and a giant bullet was dodged.good thing my filters are on point. So my son kicks her to the curb and we drove her ass to the airport. So this year really has sucked. I’m way past ready to turn the page, anyways that’s what I’ve been up too.
