I use amazon music lossless, bandcamp, and my turntable that's it lmao, runs from my laptop into a focusrite 2 way DAC/ADC. Does 24bit 192khz digital audio. Most of the stuff on amazon is in at least 24bit 48khz too, which is pretty sick. Has more stuff in higher quality then apple music or spotify, waaay more then tidal and sounds better too.
As long as it's a good quality, well maintained pressing and the tubes have been on for a while though. My vinyl setup is still the most musically rich and satisfying audio i have access too. The stars and all just have to align perfectly for all that.
If i have the record, i play that. But streaming, at least the way i do it....CD isnt even comparable. Sounds like phizz through my setup by contrast lol. It's practically my least favorite form of audio to listen too now lmao. At least that fuzz on a well preserved cassette is pleasant to the ears. I have a pretty nice Wadia CD player, and i can run it through my focusrite to the power amp, or direct into it, or i can play CD's through my laptop direct through the interface into the power amp. Amazon music lossless still sounds better lol. And a well pressed record sounds even better then that, as far as musicality and my enjoyment of the sounds im getting go anyway.
Currently im using speakers i designed and built crossover's and all myself using simulator software. Im using a tube preamp i designed and built myself, and an Aleph based Mosfet power amp, that i didnt design myself but i did build, as well as a class D subwoofer amp that i sat with a quality microphone and some software so i could as perfectly as is humanly possible blend the two amps into a single sound.
Nick i wished you lived close by, because i bet my stereo setup would literally make you cry lmao. I got a few friends that fight to take me home from the country club now so they can listen to my stereo for a bit

When i actually sit down and put a record on, and really take it in as the thing that i am focusing on doing, it's hard for me to not become quite emotional. I have to pick and choose when i apply my stereo system because it's just become that wonderful over the last several years. Holographic sound-stage magic
ive spent yeaaaaars tinkering and focusing on getting the emotional weight of a music performance to authentically pass through the circuitry that is a sound system. It's been the single biggest obsession of my entire life so far lmfao.
Music, because music, for the sake of music.

& Good vinyl on a good system for it > Literally everything else
