Hi everyone!
I would first like to thank everyone here for all the great information I have already found on this site over the last few years. I have looked on other grow sites, but this one seems to have more people interested in sharing knowledge and experience than than there are blowhards and self proclaimed "experts" that just share opinions and nonsense. A high ratio of pearls to pig poop to be found in the posts here... :)
Anyway, I am not a totall noob grower, but by no means an expert of any sort. Maybe a slightly informed novice? I grow outdoors in Northern California. I have been growing for 7 years, but the first three weren't much to be proud of. Getting better yields and quality every year now though. Full organic living soil, Greengro Pride Lands nutes, plus worm tea and lactobacillus are what I'm using lately.
So,the strangeness. I have been growing this Cream and Cheese CBD strain for 3 years now with no incident. In about week 4 of flower, and I notice the end of one brance looking kinda odd. Here's a pic, and a pic of a normal brance next to it.

The strange one seems to be leafier and misshapen compared to all the other colas on the plant. I haven't seen this before.
Thanks.

I have a similar bud growing on my gg4 plant I call it a freak bud or mutant bud looks like that you got pistils in the all over ?? Mine did I might be wrong but to me it’s just a little different lol👍

Thanks!
I checked out a page about the virus, and I hope it isn't that. My weird bud looks different than the images, not so twisty but just like really packed....and the yellowing part isn't going on like in the pics that showed plants without the twisting.
I'll keep monitoring it.

Could be developing Polypoid i've had a few of these in the years past ?
That was my first thought, when I looked close atcthe pics. I am very visually impaired, my phone sees better than my eyes...
I didn't want to mention it because A: I am still a novice and dont know all that much about it and B:I didn't want to influence the conversation in any direction in hopes of getting more opinions.
Thanks.I was hoping someone else thought the same!

It was smokable but it did'nt have a strong smell? I had to chop it apart when i dried it on a screen so it would not mold.
I noticed this strange bud while I was going around smelling flowers :) . I observed a similar reduction in aroma compared to other buds on the plant. This is a pungent strain, so the difference was that much more noticible.

Fasciation its a genetic mutation they sometimes grow out of it in veg, its neat to look at but usually causes problems in flowers
