@Captspaulding i might decarb it if that wouldnt destroy the flavor lol. You get pretty good conversion with a nail.

Generally i just prefer to blast already cured up buds. i just wanted some oil and def dont want to buy any. Purged at room temp, was only a tiny blast. maybe 2-3 grams fo early sugar trims. I flattened it out on the blade so the color would come across. Its not runny at all.


Its a stiff oil. Slow it bends, fast it snaps.

The trimmings have also been sitting in the open for like a week and its outdoor grown stuff, theres plenty decarbed already and def wanted to preserve what little flavor there was to be had.


The tiny little dots in the oil are probably where i tend to work with a cigg hanging out my mouth likely ash or baccy flakes. Prob had a half burnt unlit cigg hanging while i scraped the plate lmao.

I didnt want to speed dry any flowers and all i have is early sugar trims, ran out of premie buds this morning. And i dont wanna go about trying to find any smoke to buy today, id rather that be a tomorrow thing anyway. Im prob gonna pull tammy 2 down in the morning and set her on her way to drying, and ill prob start dipping into her within a few days of hitting the jar.

I had like 1/3 can of some 9x neon and the trims. And i knew id be running dry this evening

Im pleased with how tolerable the flavor is, and how not green it was though. It's just nice to dab some oil i produced start to finish again.

i dont go lower then 9x. It was actually a can i been putting in my torch, but i got a new propane cylinder a few days ago, so the big boy is back in action and i dont need the butane.

The local indian tocacco store has 2 packs of those big whippet brand 11x north sea cylinders. the 420ml $7.99 for 2. They have the big glass tubes for $40. Ill prob just order some full mesh bags from ebay and scoop several cans of that whippet butane and a tube real soon.


I did some full tube popcorn runs with 5x once. Tasted like sulfur and gave chest tightning even after a week of purging. Ended up tossed. I ruined like 15 grams of oil with that shit lol. Never again.

I prefer 30x but if you struggle with it at 10x, 30x would just be even more challenging.

It’s true that they don’t make ‘em’ like they used to. The truly good ones are too much money. Vintage ones on eBay for like 60 bucks.

Good optics ain’t cheap, but they are a real delight. I love looking at nebula and star clusters through a couple thousand dollars worth of good glass.

That’s what I did with my free government lockdown cash. I bought a 1500 dollar telescope and a few 500 dollar lenses

Never would have acquired that stuff otherwise!!

Yeah very difficult with a phone to check trichs, I like to have the light off and use the camera light, or better yet a low powered flashlight, I use an electronic Wi-Fi microscope but it’s also deceiving because it has 9 LED’s on it and it’ll make cloudy look like clears and clears look cloudy, if you’re looking at a specific portion of a bud look at if from different angles in the same location

I tent to look more for hairs pulled in and 5-10% amber, do my best to look at the trio ha to determine cloudy / clear if I can but my eyes are horrible

Here’s an example of the Frostette with the microscope , I could look from one angle and all clear look from another and all cloudy, she got chopped about a week later maybe 2

that was the same size tube i had. I rarely filled it up more then halfway. Just under half was perfect for the bigass oversized cans from that address' nearest corner store lmao.

i will also add to take every single possible safety precaution within your power if you blast your own oils. I have disabled aquaintances because they didnt take blasting safety seriously.

When the air is dry you prob wouldnt be surprised to find out how easily synthetic fabric clothing will make a spark without you ever even realizing it. And when your right over the dish all the airflow in the world aint gonna help you in that situation.

funny true story.

I blasted in rain once because i was an impatient ass hat moron. I ended up with ice crystals all through out the dish that took fuckin forever to purge out, and a hand frozen to a small glass turkey baster that shattered when i peeled i off. I have scars from it lmao. Alcohol was involved.
