Help anybody so I had two auto flowers that finished at different times the first I think I burnt it the second auto flower I pulled it when it looked ripped due to the problems I had with the other auto flowers I didn’t want to harvest it to early or late so I guess I chopped it at the right time and it’s like the same results now I hung it in a dark room but I felt it would take longer to dry due to humidity so I hung it in my closet and it’s still the same results it’s currently in a jar right now…. The problem I have is I thought maybe it was just the auto flower that did that yk maybe some thing with auto flowed but I still should’ve had nice looking buds so the other day I chopped a photoperiod plant and it looked fine I only really chopped it because they weren’t dried out or anything actually was still nice on water but the leaves was dying off but I just had watered the day before when I kinda started to notice the leaves turning and dying off so I chopped it and it looked perfectly fine outside of one of the nuggs seas starting to brown and was noticeable the other weed itself was green a pure green but one half over the top of one side was brown so I chopped it this time I decided to hang it in my actual grow tent I just went and looked at it today mind you I hung it yesterday now it’s browning not a dark brown but it’s starting to look burnt kind of resembles the auto flowers I fucked up so my question is when I do chopped the plant where do I go from there I done hung it in two different rooms and the grow tent nothing seems to save it … ps anybody have any solution please go into detail I know about the humidity and dark room and don’t let it dry to fast or to slow I been trynna follow that and nothing seem to work I’m open to any ideas !!! PLEASE HELP SOMEBODY I have 4 more plants in the tent and don’t want them to go bad.

They start off green and everything goes good then when I chop it the color still remain but days later in this case the next day it’s already browning and the feeling of it it was like chunky hard like a couple good solid nights now it’s starting to get crackly and dry to touch it’s not as bad as the auto flower I burned but it’s seem to be slowly getting there

(Ps these arent the same plant but basically it had its color and smell everything looked good but as you can it’s browning)

Temp and humidity in the drying tent and how long were they in the tent?
Did you leave the lights on or off in the drying tent?

Temp and humidity and how long in the tent?
The room I had the first auto flower in was 55% 87.4 it seems to be the hotter room so I tried my room and I tend to turn the ac on and off but my room would have to be the coolest and the grow tent is hot not extremely hot but it could be cooler when the lights are off it’s a breeze and actually feel cool like a decent summer day with a light breeze but when the grow tent lights are on it’s Hotttt I do have a small fan in there in side is 55% 88.3 when lights are off and the photoperiod plant I cut yesterday I hung in my room for about 2 hours and the decided to put it in the grow tent so it’s been in there since yesterday not even a full 24 hours

It is normal for your plant to look dead after you chop it. It is essentially dead. You've cut its life support. It is also normal for the cut plant to no longer be the same green color our plants are. This is for the same reason, it isn't attached to its life support anymore. The smell changing is normal too.

Cpur asked you how long you've been drying this. How many days ago was it cut? That will determine whether they are ready for jars or bags. Which is usually the next step.

Your plant that is drying looks completely normal to me. Still need a little trimming, but it is fine.

You need to have some type of airflow as your drying too.

THANK YOU!!!! And I cut it yesterday been drying since not ready for bags or jars yet but it’s just stressing me the color change and smell idk.

You're hanging it in the grow tent? Looks and sounds like your lights are frying them. Your light is going to degrade all the good stuff.

Anywhere dark with good air flow will work. I've dried bud hanging in a spare closet just fine if that's your only option.

I would also try and get it somewhere cooler if you can. Hopefully you are in an area that is starting to cool down for fall.

Oh, yeah. Your good if it was just cut yesterday. A bunch of people are cutting their plants right now. Take a look at the forum photos. You'll see some nugs looking like yours.

Just try and get them in a cooler spot, monitoring your humidity. Try and get some airflow on them too. Not much, but a draft, of possible.

Your env will play a large role in your finished dried bud look. A living bud will essentially almost always look more vibrant. Ive noticed cooler env preseve appearance more so than warm. The dries ive done in a fridge have looked most like living buds.
Your dried buds dont look wrong to me.

I tried the closet method not sure it really worked but I have a few spare closet probably switch it to one of the other ones.
