I agree with the cover crop! Not sure if I’ll have the soil to fill thiem this year or not was planning to get some used peat as well as some leaves this fall, couple other bags of whatever I can get ahold of to let ir break down, I’m thinking full no till loving soil beds but not sure how I wanna do it, might even put a 2” pvc pipe down 3’ in each corner when I fill them up so I can water deep

My philosophy is to always stay no-till UNLESS it doesn’t make sense ;)

That’s fairly rare. But a till can sometimes speed up the health of the soil in certain isolated instances.

If you do grass/clover, you better be prepared to crimp it. You can build a cheap crimper.

Otherwise, I highly recommend you at least trial some winter kills, like winter peas, mustards, tillage radish etc.

Mike you really owe it to yourself to get one of Connor Crickmore’s tilthers!

That being said, to me they are only “crucial” for my baby greens beds. And if you’re not growing a ton for a market or a restaurant, it may not be important for you.

I really want a tilther I see em in my johnnys seeds books looked at em for years haha

Don’t get the Johnny’s tilther. Get Crickmore’s. Way better functionality.

But for sure props to Johnny’s model for coming up with the concept.
For those wondering what we’re talking about 🤣

I have a ton of cleaning that I gotta do still and then tomorrow I’m gonna add 3K worth of lights underneath of the shelving unit and I’m going to raise the lights as high as I can get them up against the ceiling so that room will be pumping 2200 W I think.
time to get stupid 😝👊🏻🤡
The best way to make square footage appear, as if by some form of hippy burnout clown black majik.

Ah same breaker but the voltage load is split between the independent circuits with the least load,
They share not with and appliance, everything is wired with the equivalent of heavy duty welding leads.

Ain’t my first chodeo 👊🏻🤡
Legit
Thanks for giving a shit hahahahaj.

I have been known to clandestine chemist it up from time to time,

This works x 😂
Real though, I think you guys will really dig it when it’s all up and running and looking all pretty and shit it’s different but everything’s hooked up for maximum airflow and decent amount of ventilation will be able to handle it. I’ve done it before just not as large as this one.

That space is going to be a mini-factory when you're done. 😁

You inspire me to go home and make more tacos tonight! It might be time to make some birria tacos soon, but for now ground beef will do. View attachment 2280147
Taco Thursday was even better than taco Tuesday this week, took the beef out of the cast iron and slapped a few tortillas in the drippings and then put em in the cast iron grill on high with a layer of cheese in between. Flipped them once so they crisped up and then hit em with a lil sour cream, more cheese, a heavy portion of beef, then topped with diced onions, and garden grown cherry tomatoes and chili peppers. Was gonna post a picture but before I knew it that taco was gone. Only thing left was essential taco oil on the plate 🤣
