Hey all thanks for looking and sharing your thoughts!! So I'm trying to figure out when to start the 8 week countdown of flower outdoors? I look it up online and it tells me June 22ish.. but my outdoor plants did not stretch tell just about the beginning of August. So that does not line up, so when do you start your count?? I know different strains may take more or even a little bit less than eight weeks to flower, but when do you guys start that count?.

Flowering don’t start till they flower. Time lines don’t mean anything. When the flower is ready you pick it, don’t go by what they say it is.

When i see preflower Aug 3rd on these. I judge it the same as my indoor, when i see preflower. So i'm guessing mine are about 50days into flower but like any i grow i still go by the looks of the hairs and trichomes. Can't control heat or sun outside so that plays a big roll on ripening.

I understand that thanks for your input... what are the things you look for to know they are ready?? Because I have had a plant that has had amber trics since week 4 of flower? But the buds aren't dense yet I don't know Olof I should let it keep growing or not?

Are the amber trichomes you're seeing on the sugar leaves or the buds themselves? Trichomes on the leaves can change color several weeks before the buds actually do.
Some strains won't amber.

As far as bud size and density, it could be they're still simply growing or it could be something with your feeding. Are you using some kind of bloom booster or anything?

The outdoor flower calendar depends on where you are in the world and what you're growing.

Ahh ok those I have been looking at are on the sugar leaves... so it's the actual buds I need to be looking for the milky and amber trics? With that what tells u its time in your personal opinion??
