My heirloom tomatoes finally died off after 3 seasons. But I have a variety of cherry tomatoes. Already picked hundreds since the spring and still have a fall harvest to go. Also have a variety of peppers, strawberries, and a couple of watermelons going. No, some other giant variety. Beefsteaks have been done for awhile

Heirloom tomatoes aren't the prettiest to most. Most of them catface, which is a term used to describe the "imperfect" shape of them and the not so smooth bottom part.

Heirloom tomatoes are so incredibly good. The uglier the better. I didn't start my garden until super late. I still have some. Grew black krim and Cherokee purple this year. What doesn't finish I will fry or pickle.
