Love those pink pistils. Reminds me when I was a youngin' one my buddy's uncles had some weed with bright red pistils in it. Some one hit and quit type stuff, too. This was like early 90s maybe 80s and it was the first time I had ever seen weed with pistils other than orange/brown. It was on a new years eve, and us teenagers were smoking in the bedroom and the parents were smoking in the kitchen. A buddy and I stepped out to get a drink and I saw uncle rolling a joint of it and was fascinated by the bright red hairs 🤣 He asked us "what you boys smokin on in there, ditch weed? Here, I'll let both of you take one hit each, and make it a small one! And don't tell your friends, either!" So we did and I have rarely in my life had weed hit me that hard and that fast. I coughed my lungs out but damn it hit me like a freight train!

To this day I have no idea what variety/cultivar that was, but I do remember his uncle telling us he got it in Miami, and it was 120 bucks for an eighth. Which was pretty pricey even for 80s/90s standards.

Man, I'm over here, chompin' at the bit to harvest my outdoor Northern Lights and White Rhino. Talk about reminiscing, I haven't smoked any Northern Lights since at least 2004 and haven't even seen, let alone smoked White Rhino since like 1999. I'm super excited to smoke some again if nothing more than for the nostalgia 🤠

The NL is just about ready to chop any day now, the WR still has a couple weeks left. The suspense is killin me 🤣

If there's one thing I love as much as weed, it's old school stories about weed! Always takes me back and makes me smile. Thanks for sharing! Here in South Central Europe, we would mostly get hash. But what got me hooked was California Orange, very red hairs also. Especially when smoked outside during the night that Summer, it would really made us trip. It was towards the late 90s and for some reason I was really into classic rock & roll back then. Had this tape with mostly Chuck Berry on it, and somehow that fit the high so well and just lifted up our spirits.... The following winter we got into Wu-Tang and I still remember the gritty environment where we would secretly smoke weed and had the music blasting. We also had to run from the cops multiple times -- aah them gold ol days 😁

like i said, theres no plants that can take weather like that better then columbians. these aare half columbian land race. Likely among the most fungi resistant plants on the site right now. I havent sprayed them once in flower for anything at all with anything at all. Especially with citric theyll manage just fine fungi wise./

Issue is theres 10 days of no sun and nearly 2 foot of rainfall predicted for me during the time. Starting in a few hours.

In that context lineage and resistance doesnt mean much to me tbh. Im not worried about fungi at all with those plants specifically, and the ones i am will be harvested already. When your last couple weeks is cloudy and wet, doesnt matter what the lineage is,. your flowers puff up and get airyier. trimming gets made a lot more difficult, and end quality suffers noticably lol.

the tammy's are plenty done to harvest and have been. IM just letting em fatten and amber up a bit for mom. Theyre coming down tonight for sure.

the OJBB #2 will probably rot and mold into oblivion, but i dont really care about that plant and havent since i first laid eyes on it as a little tyke. No idea why.

But yea my concern isnt mold per se. Its that iv had such a good run so far, my flowers are coming out the patch indoor quality. And i really dont want that to get all messed up right before the columbians come down. They respond to weather like this in undesirable ways, even if those traits are what make them so mold and rot resistant (what is considered genetic instability indoors, i consider genetic robustness and adaptability outdoors, and in most cases this rings very true)

I see... I have no experience with outdoor growing at all. But as you said some strains are more mold mold/fungi resistant than others. And yeah even without any mold, hard rain is never good for flowering plants, especially in late flower. That half Columbian sounds interesting. So I asume that one would finish quite early?

i have 4 phenos out there of that cross. One looks like itll finish up within a week. 1 looks a couple weeks, And 2 of them look more like haloween plants lol.

The original columbian i crossed with would stretch at the end of july, be flowering in early august, but still wouldnt be totally ripe even in early november lmao. Was a fire-hair land race sativa. The seed mother was an early october high test and very fungi resistant sativa. Most the phenos have flowered faster then either parent though. Was a pretty sick cross.

I listened to alot of interviews of older Dutch breeders the last couple of months. While there is most likely some bs when it comes to some stories, it was interesting to hear how they would try to grow varieties like Mexican, Columbian etc in the harsh Dutch climate. The first landrace to ever finish on time in Holland was Durban Poison and I believe that was partly because they were lucky with the weather at the time. Of course then the Skunk and Haze came and changed everything forever...

Stfu u won't do shit dumbass your one of the peanuts that drops shit on strangers wtf u saying lolol this dude lmao
Hey there angerbizcutt480. I get it, you’re mad. I’m mad too. Probably not for the same reason as you but I have my anger issues too. I’m not sure if I have wronged you in anyway or if we’re just strangers. It seems like maybe I have. I don’t know? Almost every single time I take the time out of my day to formulate my thoughts in a constructive way I do so with intent and purpose. If I do insult someone it’s a character assessment and I’m making an observation and then putting my own perspective out there. I also will usually make light of a situation and try to make people laugh. So when I say that I understand that you’re upset about something I’m acknowledging your feelings. Now comes the part where I make fun of how childish your behaving and again I get it. I’m an angry man too. My suggestion to you is to delete your account, recreate one, and then maybe try to get off on the “right” not wrong foot. At this point you have lost your ability to appear like someone capable of self awareness and or control. Why not just either admit your shortcomings, or start over? And if you’re the guy who was flinging shit around on Sunday with the captain about seedlings then I’ll say right now that that entire shitshow started when someone glazed over his response rather than reading it and absorbing what he said, and then told him he said the opposite of what his post said. Huge misunderstanding, rather than rereading his comment a fight was started. If that is the case then I’ll tell you right now that your inability to slow down and evaluate situations correctly before reacting is going to cause a lot of unnecessary stress in your life. If you aren’t that same guy, then rather than dismiss all that I’ve typed here, take a look at your actions and see where you’re at because of them. Thanks and good night.

On a more sobering note my grow has gone to shit this time especially the yellow 1 another 2 weeks n ima rip this lot out by the scruff of their necks n hang em😂 I’m putting it down to few things cold azz temps but number 1 would be my laziness letting em dry out whilst hungover general lack of interest this grow lost my mojo man😂View attachment 2285167
Looks pretty healthy to me.

They were doing this outside? I always thought they were growing indoors or in greenhouses. I watched a video the other day about the creation of white widow. Pretty cool stuff, dude was from Australia and his dad taught him how to grow, he ended up doing a cross continent motorcycle trip through Asia and Europe, and then again in South America getting seeds from all the locals who were growing their own plants for generations. Established land races from across the globe.

Yeah very early on, like mid to late 70s - mid 80s. Then it became more and more indoor. There was one Coffeeshop in South Amsterdam where they had mostly outdoor stuff - was long ago that I went there, probably 2011. Tried their outdoor Amnesia Haze. Nothing too special though.
We also sometimes got Purple brick weed back home which was halfway decent, or rather halfway mid lol. People assumed this was Purple Haze but it was only Purple Skunk or some other purple outdoor strain. Mostly had seeds in it too and often was more black than purple.

Hey I have a question, can THC Farmer be subpoenaed to turn over identifying information on it's users in the US or any other country? Just wondering. Not that I have any intentions of doing anything to warrant such actions. But these are questions that roll through my strange, paranoid mind from time to time. Musings such as... Almond milk... How they get almond milk? Almonds ain't got no titties! 🤣 👊 🤠
We’re all gonna be locked up by the United Nations. They want to run the internet 🤣
