In my opinion, breeders are people who want to commercialize thier product. Me, once I stabilize it, pay for shipping and it's yours. Since our primary ailments I'm crossing to help are depression, PTSD, and pain management; I would love to start something like hand out free joints or grams outside the VA to disabled vets
Wonderful! 😍 have a buddy who could benefit tremendously from what you’re working on! Will definitely keep up with your thread! Take care brother!❤️✌️

So, after a few failed germinations (I had to "dry" or age the seeds a little more I guess, but I finally have some sprouts. Five from #9s seeds and two from #4. I used to seeds from #9 to test if they were ready and the popped open so I drop three more from #9, and three from #4 and #14. #14s seeds might still need some more aging, so I'll try again next round, but I only had one not pop from #4 and all of #9s did, so that's a good sign.

You can already see a difference in the leaf shape from the first two, it will be fun to look through the different expressions! I'll take cuts of these when I flip and run those to test seed vs cut and hopefully have something decent. Then I can maybe throw in some from the other lines and test out. Essentially keep or replace when i flip instead of holding traditional mothers, more of a perpetual where best stay on and the rest get the chop🤣

Anyways, that's all for now, happy farming, and as always... be water my friends

seed vs cut
Im learning there is a difference (at least I think there is) only have my last grow from seed and now this current run of the cuttings to go off. But I noticed my cuttings are way more sensitive to the lighting and feedings.

Is there any special process to let the seeds cure or dry more? Or is it just a matter of giving them more time in whatever you are storing them in?

I think just giving them a little more time, I left them in the buds and dried on the plants like normal then let them sit out in the bud for another week. I think sifted and collected and they've been out since. #14s I tried to throw in the fridge to Stratify for a week, thinking I should have just left them out now🤷‍♂️

Regarding the seed vs clone, from what I've read on selective breeding, the ability to clone well and the differences that might appear are a thing. That's why I plan to look through the same number of seeds, but do it in a winner stays on format (which will take longer), but should work out better🤞

Had to take a side shot, 9A in the back right is stacking nodes like crazy!

I'm going to train these testers as I usually do, 8 cola quad/mainline. I've been pulling 25% males on average for my reg seeds, so I should get 4 females, just hoping for atleast one from #4a or 4b

That was a quick unscripted video, I love the feature to record straight to the board! Freaking awesome!

Plants are chugging along. Not sure if I should just combine the thread with my 2tents to make it easier? Admins, is it appropriate to have this here in this category when it might overlap with my other thread?

Anyways, I tried to line them up in order of thier sprouting

There isn't a particular structure or look I'm going for. Health, vigor, and high is my main points I'll be hunting for. I'm going to pick the best 1 or 2 females (and any male if it just jumps put and yells KEEP ME😜), then round robin, winner stays on kind of scenario until I've gone through atleast 40 seeds.

Like I said before, it's just a crap shoot and wishful thinking at this point. I confident in the genetics, I just hope they mix well.

I will be following this thread now. good info. i hope these work out for you. in my SLH and Maui i had 1 maui bean that didn't sprout. i planted it anyways and have a dome over it in a solo cup as the guy i bought the beans from said that it was still good and to just plant it. so i did. a week later still nothing. so i'll wait longer...

Yeah, usually I soak for 24hrs and plant directly to dirt. Since these were new and mine, I gave them 3 days and waited for tails before planting. Seemed to work out better for me, and with less guessing

i add a couple drops of H2O2 and i usually wait for a tail. i have good germination rate doing it this way. this maui bean is the first to not sprout in a long time. i also use distilled water
