Take care of yourself man, don’t worry about us, been pretty quiet on here the past few days, more importantly all of you in the south east pay attention to the weather unfortunately there’s favorable conditions for another tropical storm to form in the Gulf of Mexico. Mother Nature has been a little angry lately. I can’t wait to see what she has in store for my neck of the woods up here in New England.

Same here with me. Been battling flu for the past 7days and i still don't have alot of energy. Taste is way off, lack of appitite. Nothing taste like it shoud to me. I don't have fever anymore just sneezing, runny nose then conjestion and cough. Doing Musinex and alkaseltzer cold & flu. I'm forceing myself to cut off branches and trim and hang LOL. I did water the my tent and feed them.

Yeah, to anyone and everyone affected by the storms I just want to say I’m super sorry for the bad shit and the stressors and any of y’all have to go through because of it. I deal with it every year it’s almost just part of the program being off of the gulf , But at this point, I’m getting awfully sick of it and it’s making me feel absolutely horrible having to see any of the trials and tribulations that people have been going through up there one hell of the storm that y’all just dealt with just know that everyone’s in my thoughts and I feel terrible about the whole situation. We all deserve better , hope everybody can rebuild and everybody’s family is happy and healthy for the most part. Try not to stress too much. It doesn’t anything but make it worse you know. Just try to think about what it’s gonna be like in another month from now when everything‘s passed and you’re looking in every rearview mayor at this bullshit….

This was the worst storm in my area for 108 years. And 108 years is just the minimum number quotable here.


Basically the worst storm since records started being kept accurately.


People talk about the 1916 floods around here like rama mentioned. 1916 is an overflowed Creek compared to 2024


Right over the mountain in NC got it 10x worse then i did here too.



The death toll has only just started, this storm is gonna make the katrina economic cost and death toll seem preferrable im pretty sure. Theres entire neighborhoods wiped off the map here in the middle of the night. Entire cul-de-sacs and small rural communities that probably have no survivors and theres no official population number to begin with. And itll takes days iof not week for emergency responders to even set first boot in many of these places its so rural and the terrain is so decimated and destroyed.

Westrern north carolina is full of off-grid homesteads and mountain valley properties. Very glad im up on the mountain here. Im Lucky im where im at. Moms basement in the TN valley has 4 foot of water in it right now.

Settin up a new veggie and microgreen tent

Hey, she wants microgreens and herbs what was I gunna do

Won’t be any filter on this exhaust it’s purely to move air through the tent

i set my mom up a guppy/tetra aquapanoics tank in her kitchen. The plants keep the water clean and oxygenated, the guppies feed her lettuces and leafy greens she always wants fresh. Is a 5 gal setup, she ewants me to make her a 25gal tank now too, because she uses the greens like crazy and loves watching the fish lol. I just mounted a 36watt florescent lantern light up under the overhead cupboards for it. Works great.


All she has to do is feed her fish, and every 3 or 4 months or so i come clean it all out for her

It's probably pretty bad. I'm expecting the new floor work and carpet to be a total loss, there's probably standing water inside the house. Doesn't have a basement there.


I can't even get off my mountain though yet, so I'm doing me best to not worry. My sister's going out there in the morning for a look see.

I'm thinking 2-4 lbs dry is a pretty conservative estimate TBH. Prob more like 5-7
