Only use them once your bud is jar stable, only use it for long term storage or if you messed up your dry. They have their places but I quit using themNever used them before but ordered a box to give them a try.
Question….new to this so excuse the ignorance but do you leave your flower in the Grove bags or do you cure for a time and move to jars? I recently used the Grove bags for my first go and at first smelled and tasted great but after a month and a half and it’s drying out and not smelling as nice…trying to figure out my mistake any advice?Grove bags are the only way to go. They really give a superior cure. They do more than just preserve terps, the terp profile gets more complex after a few months. And they couldn't be easier. After all the time, effort and money invested in growing great weed, a few bucks per bag is nothing.
I’ve heard both, you can leave it in there to cure and move it to a jar for long term. Or leave it in the bag.Question….new to this so excuse the ignorance but do you leave your flower in the Grove bags or do you cure for a time and move to jars? You can cure in either. But don’t use the bag as your stash container - it’s easy to leave the zip top open and have the bag dry out. Haven’t noticed it as much the last couple years, but when the bags first came out the zip top would come unglued from the bag. So you’d think you were sealing the bag but one side would have no seal. Grove made a video showing how to open the bag while ensuring that you were holding the 2 sides of the zip tight against the respective sides (so as not to rip the zip off the bag).Question….new to this so excuse the ignorance but do you leave your flower in the Grove bags or do you cure for a time and move to jars? Thank you..as I said new to this, I had 2 bags one plant per bag and when I opened it I did open it to smell/smole/five away, i’ll have to be more careful moving forward, the 2 plants were a test run before taking the 18 outdoor so any and all advice is not only welcomed but encouraged lol…I realize I took on a larger workload without truly realizing what goes into doing this and trying to do it right..that said it’s been a wonderful experience moving forward i’m going to focus on quality over quantityHavent been getting into it to look and smell too much have ya?
im not trying to imply you have, its just that I myself may be known to mess up a jar or two because i couldnt keep my big fat nose or my grubby paws out of itthats been a thing for as long as ive been growing.
I actually keep a smaller jar of my stinker plants around to protect the bigger batches. Im having serious trouble keeping my nose out of the columbian jars this go. So i intentionally made up a jar of smaller buds for the sniffs. Skunky strawberry cheesecake is waaaay more appealing then i would've thought lol.
Sounds like you lost moisture, you probably put them into the bags top dry. I don't like those bags, I use jars and bucketsQuestion….new to this so excuse the ignorance but do you leave your flower in the Grove bags or do you cure for a time and move to jars? I still have some bags so I think i’ll do some bag and some jars and also try moving some bags to jars to experiment….the plus side to home growing….trying to get a few more days before I start taking them..the new england weather is just so nice right nowSounds like you lost moisture, you probably put them into the bags top dry. The bags are not for daily ok weekly use IMHO. I use them for long term storage (a year for me) but if I were to go longer than that jars would be a better choice. Nice thank you for the advice, everyone in my circle speak highly of the bags, I also realize that there were other factors like too hot dried to fast not the right humidity, I recently procured all the necessary equipment and I believe i’ll be ready to dial it in perfectly with my outdoor plants. I just don’t want to harvo18 plants that smell like my lawn on a hot day..The bags are not for daily ok weekly use IMHO. I’ve heard the same , that they steal terps, I made sure to get GROVE bags and the 2 plants a friend gave me to harvest smelled incredible until I kept opening them and now learning to NOT do that.I kind of wonder about the cheap grove bag, knock offs that are out now! If they are any good.
