Do i add EC value of Calmag to my total required EC?

Hey guys i need some advice here.
Im growing in coco/perlite + rainwater ok so i basically need to use ProCal or Calmag (same same) & this is my first grow indoors + using bottled nutrients + using coco & im unsure whether i have to add the EC of the calmag to the desired EC of my solution which of course makes my EC a lot higher than it should be or do i just mix my solution of grow,bloom etc to the EC i want it to be & then mix the calmag at 1.25ml/L at the end or do i have to reduce my grow/bloom/micro etc EC to allow for the Calmag?

The latter just doesn’t sound right to me but im after some clarification please from ANYONE with the know how for my peace of mind, cheers

I include calmag in my total EC target. Calmag makes up the biggest chunk of my total EC, in veg while doing 4ml per gallon at least.

Hmmm i hear you both although i am using Green Planets professional feeding program & its version of CalMag is ProCal & it isn’t in their feeding program meaning its not included in EC target

Yeah thats what iv learnt elsewhere also & in Green Planets feeding schedule thats how its done, you put the silica in first but nowhere does it say to add Calmag into the feeding schedule …….does that mean that i just add the Calmag on its own on at a different time to the nutes? I dunno

Sorry it does say to add Calmag when using coco coir….it just doesn’t say to add it to the feeding schedule with other nutes

Yeah right,thats interesting because im using Green Planets GP3 with the whole lineup & the EC is given for every weeks feeding but NOWHERE is CalMag in it, it says to use it when ising coco coir but its not added in the feeding program

It doesn’t explain where or when to add CalMag
Other thing is Plant Guard is silica but its NOT FIRST in the lineup either

I always put calmag in before everything but Silica. I believe I read that calmag needs to go in before regular nutes but I don't think I can post the link on here to a competitors site. Try a Google search for the order of mixing nutrients.

Yeah I have done that + emailed GP directly
I tend to agree with you don’t worry…..i think i will try again & have a look for an answer

Ok, beautiful, i found what i was looking for, & in conclusion the closest i can get to the answer i was looking for basically was described as ‘at a rate of 1.25ml/L “in conjunction with” which is “in combination with”….so i meet target EC value with everything else in my feeding program & then just add the CalMag or ProCal its called with Green Planets GP3 Professional Feeding Program at a rate of 1.25ml/L ON TOP OF or in combination with normal feeding program + as needed

So its added on top of Target EC Value with Green Planet’s feeding programs.

May be different with other nutrient lines but im gonna follow the info i have found.
Nobody else is able to tell me different clearly thus far
