Hey everyone! Had a a variety of symptoms and figured I’d ask after the hours of researching or maybe it’s nothing.

550ppm 5.8-6.3 ph over the week
I just moved the lights up 2” and down 5%
Watering 3x during lights on over 16 hours.

65 at night but hit 63 once and 75-79 lights on.
Humidity about 50-60 at all times.

I went with caution by moving lights as first option. Thanks so much! I have three plants all different symptoms, left one cupped and light twisting, middle cupped no twisting, right one, very light cupping, but all seem to be turning darker green but not sure if it’s their natural color. And all seem to be getting new growth growing quickly. One fim and two topped 4 days ago

Also the first photo burnt tips happened 2 weeks+ ago and nothing showing on any other leaves. I’m not sure if I should cut them.

Thanks for the bump. I’m planning on lowering ppm as well just in case it’s about to be n tox or burn as I found tiny beginnings.

i’ve never grown that method,..
i know lots of growers here are busy with outdoor harvesting but someone will be here,.

the hole just continues to grow deeper lol. Seems like my vpd might’ve been way too high 1.62 because of my exhaust fan creating negative pressure to control temps. I believe high vpd causes the symptoms I’m seeing and I thought my tent being sucked in seemed weird but didn’t know it could cause problems

VPD is purely a measure of temp vs RH. Negative pressure shouldn’t be a factor unless your tent is in a lung room with hostile conditions.

VPD seems to be exceptionally sensitive to temp changes, so if you need to pull VPD down, adjusting temp down is the quick way to do it. In my experience, if you bounce off of a 1.6 VPD, no biggie. If you live at 1.6 it might be more of a problem.

BTW, I think photo #2 looks fine. Like Nick, I have a different grow method so we’ll have to wait for a hydro guy/gal to really help you.

Edit: the nodes may be a little bit close, suggesting excessive light. You mentioned you raised it and tuned down the power. What are the distance to canopy and the DLI or PPFD if you have it?

My exhaust fan was running 24/7 to keep temp down which made it near impossible to keep humidity up for the temp so I’m assuming it’s been living around 1.6. I got my temps controlled now with proper air input etc. I tried lowering from 30-28 with 5%increase (using tomahawk 650 and following their recs). So I moved it back and it’s in the 500s.

Thanks for the response and noticing the node distance thinking it might be light/heat stress. So many variables but these issues did seem to arise around adjusting the lights but not 100 sure.

morning,..
bump bump,..
help needed here,..

Update, after lowering vpd to an average of 1.0 over the last light cycle, and raising my lights slightly, symptoms are beginning to fade with the cupping and almost gone. Color is still off with the third plant but I lowered ppms to 480.

Amen brother, and I see you got BELIEVE in your name! Now put $5 in an envelope and send it to ol’ Rev. Mothman, ‘cause you are healed!!

Well, maybe… 😉

EDIT: seriously, though, I run my 6-bar LED at much lower wattage than the ppfd that’s usually recommended, even by the maker. I finally figured out that I don’t need to (or want to) raise thoroughbred racehorses. Some nice ponies in the pasture will do!
