This is my first grow, it’s an outdoor Acapulco gold photo period by 34st seed co. It flowered quite late around early September. it survived a 200 mm rain storm under our roof overhang last weekend. and we have had mix sun and clouds the last week but with cold temperatures, future forecast is only more rain and cold. I have picked one tiny spot of rot off but the rest of the plant looks very healthy.

Do you think I should harvest today before the rains come again? Maybe leave a few colas I can tuck away fully from the rain?
I’ve only got one plant and I don’t want it to be a throw away either to immature or to late. Thank you in advance!

Ewww pretty chilly eh? Shoot i harvested 2wks early cause of rot on mine. Not the smoke effect i'd hoped for but it's OK. I don't like much rain or frost near harvest a couple overnights of low temps and rain really can ruin the devoted 5-6 months of waiting. I know it's not what you want to hear sadly it's up to you this is when a ez up canopy or some shelter would help but still the enviornment is poor and really slows down the plant.

Well the rain only starts tonight so she has been dry for a good few days. do you think doing like 90% chop tonight would be the best bet then? And leave the last 10% more as an experiment? Trichomes all seem cloudy but not huge amount of amber maybe 3-5%

I would take the biggest tops off the ripest one's you find. Go ahead experiment if you want that's one of those learn by doing things😉

Really appreciate it thank you, also how fast can bud rot take over? Is it like an overnight thing? Or just being lazy and not checking there plants over

Cover it with a comforter on the frosty nights then pull it off in the morning and let it grow more

You have calyx swell and very few new pistils so you may not gain much more size/weight. She's ripening at this point. Trich heads look mostly full and milky. I don't know that the risks outweigh the benefits at this point. There is also the possibility of bud rot you haven't seen yet. I think @Galgrows might have the right idea. Lower/smaller buds can still finish. I still have budlets growing on plants I harvested 2-3 weeks ago.

Really appreciate that! That’s exactly what I needed to hear, I don’t want to risk it at this point, she’s coming down tonight! Will update post when done!
