Grandaddy Purple and Gorilla Glue #4. I got 1.65oz of Gorilla glue and 1.10oz of Grandaddy purp. They smell great, taste great, and the high is great. But all 3 could definitely be better. I'm about to start silver haze and blue dream and I'm trying to figure out what I can do to improve my results this time around. Also, does anyone know why my Grandaddy Purple isn't Purple? It smells and tastes like Purple but no color.

This was my canopy at flip. I mean, I thought it was pretty full, Maybe I just don't have enough space? What would you say max yield should be for a 2'x3'x5' tent?

Nice looking plants. How did they do, yield-wise? (The pictures say they're from August, so I'm wondering how they finished.)

Maybe I just don't have enough space?
More space is always nice. I now have four tents but only use one of them. It's good to be able to veg in one and flower in another.

It isn't only the tent that matters. That said, an ounce per square foot is a reasonable target, but don't feel bad if you get half that. So, 3 to 6 ounces in that tent is a good rule-of-thumb range. I recently got 1.5 ounce from a 2x2 tent, which is low, but the potency of the Green Gelato auto was amazing. We'll definitely grow that again.

Scroll to the top of the post for my harvest pictures.
Ok, well if that's the case then I didn't do too bad. I got a little over 2.5oz. And the quality is pretty damn good. Especially for my second grow!
Any idea why my grandaddy purple isn't purple?

Confusing, but, okay.

All's well that ends well.

The purple color results from the plant's release of the pigment anthocyanin. In cannabis, it often happens as a stress response, such as cold temperature. So, my guess is the plant wasn't exposed to whatever triggers production of the pigment.

Your plants look nice and healthy! : ) from what im seeing in my room and learning from that. My “training” could be improved (more topping). And less plants could be spread out and create that “sea of green” affect.

My next run will be more plants with moderate training (also im limited on my light foot print so some of it doesnt even matter)

That one plant on the right of the two could almost (looks like it from here) veg longer and take that entire tent up with the right trellising and bending : )

Your end product looks killer man! I would totally smoke on that : )

What are your temps like in the flowering tent?

Thanks man! It's pretty good, I couldn't help myself so I put a little aside for myself to toke on. But the jars that are curing right now smell better and better each day. Got maybe another week until curing is done.
Flowering temps were around 75 at night and 78 during the day, it would get up to 80 but that's when the ventilation would kick on.

LoveGrowingIt has a better explanation for the cooler temps effecting color (thanks LGI) 😀 but sometimes you can lower the temps and achieve that “color change”, thats why I was asking about temps. Also it could be strain based : )

If you want you can try to drop the temps a little lower later in flower and see if that gets you some color. Again though like LGI stated it’s “technically” a stress response so im not sure how much of that you would want to do. Something to tinker with next time. ✌️

Makes sense, and here I thought the lack of purple was at bad thing. Hey, if no one has told yall today... you guys rock cause you just taught this guy something new 😆
I don't think my harvest would have been as good had it not been for the great people on this site.
The GG is that type of high that you smoke a bowl and then some time later start to wonder how long you've been staring at the wall 🤣
The GP just makes everything more enjoyable and comical.
Thank you everyone for the advice!
