I lived 2 blocks from the beach in Seal in the 80's. Old man use to take me there in the 60's. I've done a lot of work in the area and even met Ethan Wayne at the Wayne Foundation in Newport. Love the area but then I moved south and love it here even more with Oceanside beach and Scripps. Cali coast is something special
When i was traveling out west i ended up in a city called San Luis Obispo in cali. Wen thtere to meet a friend/ another cacti and succulent collector. As a child we'd go to Cachuma Lake in Santa Barbara for 2 weeks at a time and then when Lake Lopez opened in San Louis we would go there instead as had some relatives in the area and they would visit is camping and we'd take a day and visit them. One uncle had a dune buggy and we'd fly across the sand dunes at Pismo Beach. But it wasn't until 20 years that I drive to Mission Bay along the coast that I saw the coast for myself. Amazing. Other than pictures I'd never seen it before and it's worth the extra couple hours over traveling on the 101fwy. Drove home the same way as it is stunning

I'm dying over here right now! I picked up the water bottle from my cupholder this morning and made a comment to my son about how good bottles of water are in the morning that you leave in the car overnight
I've had a couple that get a nice layer of asphalt on them and I soak them in straight cleaning ammonia overnight. Rinse with warm water and that crap comes right off.
