Okay I'm growing blueberry pancakes from himbolt seeds in a 10 gallon tub. I have it filled with 8 gallons of nutrient water. I'm useing cronk 3 part nutrients and cal/mg. Ph is right around 5.9 ppm is 741. My question is my bottom leaves are starting to yellow and then also have brown patches on them. Wondering that may be the problem. I am useing a water ring also.

I'm having the same issues, hope someone can help out. I'm new to hydro so any help would be great!

I've been having the same problem, I upped the cal mag and the overall nute feed as well and it seems to of helped it. Everything else in my system is good to go.

to me it looks like your nute soln is too styrong for the size of your plant...
i'd shoot for around 300 ppm or 25% soln
check ppm daily and when the ppm starts to drop rapidly, meaning plants are eating, you can do a rez change and up to stronger soln.
i read somewhere where one guy never goes above 50% soln or approx 500ppm

i use kootMeD soln recipe for jacks 321

good luck

I just upped ppm from 300 to 500 earlier this week. It has dropped to around 400, so probably do a rez change at day 7 and stay around 500

I decided to pull the plant and start new. When I pulled it, looked like I may have dried the roots out up high ( planted to high in medium). I'm pretty sure the nutrients were too high aswel. I have germinated some new seeds. Should the water level be high to start (into net pot)? Or did I just plant too high?

i think it should be pretty close to the net pot without touching when small and no roots hanging out yet.... like an inch (and i used straight distilled water until i saw roots, then made a 25% soln when i could see them)
when they are young i use a turkey baster to pull some nute out and water them until i see some roots sticking out... after that the bubles popping should be enough to get them wet.... i start out in a 3 gal bucket with 1 gal nutes.... first round was straight water, then 25%
i upped to the 5 gal and use 2gal nutes, so there's lots of room between the rootball and the nute soln. right now i'm at 50%... i'll change nutes every 7-10 days... if it seems to be eating quick...

i burned so many plants in the past by upping nutes too quick.... i followed a schedule rather than following my plants

i'm still new to the jacks 321, dwc single bubbler bucket.... but to me it's the simplest for a small grow for us noobs

I would suggest no drip ring. I want just enough moisture for survival and not to encourage my roots to not leave the net pot from it being so wet.
I would soak my seeds in cup of water overnight and would like to see them crack open to show viability.
Then said seed in say something neutral like and oasis cube.
And also keep it just damp and not soaking wet.
Plant about 1/2 deep.
Should be up in under 2 days, with a tap root coming out of the cube maybe at day 4.
Then making sure again that seedling medium is not overly wet. If so a swing in my arm with seeding in hand and the water will be sprayed on the cement floor.
Perfect ready for the net pot.

Plant deep enough that it’s covered then I would be putting enough water in that it would be into the net pot but Not toughing the cube.
Don’t need water in the cube. It needs to stay just barely wet so that it’s encouraged to grow roots into the water.

good luck.

Here’s a few more pictures
I changed nutez 7 days ago at 500ppm
All week it’s gradually dropped to about 390ppm today… I adjust pH every day or 2 to be around 5.8ish… it tends to climb to 6.2ish… going to change rez today or tomorrow and stay around 500ppm… I think these are around 5 weeks… they are autos jack herer

If you're PPM is dropping, you're not feeding them enough nutrients. I'd be bumping it up about 150 if my PPM was dropping like that and PH rising like that.
