Is the growth too slow? When to transplantv

Hello all last Sunday afternoon i started seed germination using classic paper tower method. In just one day it popped. By Tuesday the white root was long enough to transplant into a rockwool cube.

The first couple of days i had it under a dome in my tent in a 18h light cycle. On Thursday i have removed the dome.

Since transplant into rockwool i have been top feeding with by spraying thw cube with a mixture of water and 1ml/L B-52 and 1ml/L Voodo Juice for faster root growth.

All in all it has been one week since seed and this is the outcome. I have two questions:

1) has the growth been too slow? (Given 7 days ago i started as a seed)?

2) When should i transplant to the DWC bucket? My concern is also that the rockwool cube is a bit larger than usual (still fits in the netpot) but roots have not started showing at the bottom.

Cover that rockwool up and get it out of line of sight to the light. It will start growing algae if you don’t.

Be careful using that large rockwool block in a net cup for hydro. If it stays too wet you will root rot. So make sure your splash and water levels are right.

(I would never use the large rockwool blocks in hydro pebbles again).

I would try and cut it down as much as possible. Don’t worry if you cut roots. Be nice to her for a few days and don’t overwater, run a little on dry side if you end up chopping some roots. They would be good to plop in the pebbles with continued top spray watering for a week or so and you’ll hit water.

Just make sure you cleaned the crap out of those pebbles. Wash them a few times in Ph balanced water. Clean clean.

Ditch the Block as @Bdubs said, youll have nothing but trouble if you use that block - for DWC I cut the 2" cubes down to 1/2"x1/2"inch cubes, soak the cubes 3:1 h20/h202, drop them in a beaker on a heatmat lay seeds on top and cover to create humidity dome. (after I see a radicle, Ill poke a hole and plant my seeds), I h202 to wash the hydroton clay then rinse/soak in pH water.

How should i ditch it? Atempt to cut it? That might damage the roots though…

I would at least take scissors and cut down the corners. Make it as small
As you can. You at least need a 2 pebble thickness layer all around the pebbles, minimum. So as little rockwool as you can get it down to the better.

You want zero exposed rockwool when looking below the netpot after it has been placed. If it is exposed, it will be soaked all the time for sure.

So i transplanted it into a smaller rockwool and placed it in a glass with a few ml of water at the bottom.

Turns out root had barely grown. However it has grown vertically on the top.

Is it better now? I out it under light inside a propagation dome. Any comments? Or should i transplant it into my dwc setup directly?

Nice. Should i keep it in the glass? If yes for how long?

Or can i out it now in the dwc setup?

I put my seeds directly in the small rockwool cubes and theu go straight into hydroton like that. And yes that seedling is growing incredibly slow and should look like that on like day 1 or 2 of popping the top of a cube.
