Hey guys and girls! Question!

Have you ever had a plant that smelt like something, then at week 6 all of a sudden they smell like different terps? Is it something to do with maturity?

I stuck a plants buds right up my nose about a week ago. I did it again yesterday, then double checked this morning, and it smell has completely changed, and for the better by the way.

Yep! I always notice the evolution of the terps as they mature I’ve had tents smell like complete grape one week then blueberries the next I think it’s the overlapping of the terps as they develop until they fully mature

I could be way off with my stoner science though 🤣

100% man Terps can be pretty dynamic in the late stretch of flowering all the way from week four when it really starts to put off a pungent odor that’s akin to that stem rub you’ve been hitting up all fucking grow long.
Strong strains are definitely a little bit more straightforward when it comes to the Terp alterations that a plant will go through. It even happens in like you’ll put a strain in a few jars go ahead and cure and you go back every week and it’ll be slightly different. This will keep happen sometimes all the way up to three months. Sometimes the name of the game is being able to keep the flower moist in order to keep on going through those changes, if you look up a list of what terps there are there’s a pretty amount of them and sometimes I’ve had plants go from gassy skunk all the way to like breakfast maple syrup type shit so it’s really you know about what the strain is and what is heritage is as well

It can get pretty wild man

Thank you both! I thought I was going mad.

I doubt it! Not even a week ago I stem rubbed, and strong-sniffed pheno 3, I took her out of the tent, isolated her and everything, and she smelt nice but not like blackcurrant, at all. This morning it was straight up Ribena and she is now the stinkiest, so there's something to it!

This makes a lot of sense. The good news is her buds also are maturing faster than the others. I re-ordered my girls today so I could have the best phenos up front. There is still 2-3 weeks left right, but man... Pheno 3 no joke went from bottom of the list to taking the top spot. I compared her to her sisters and nope, shes pulled ahead by a long margin!

And any tips for getting the biggest yield out of this Delaware shed weed 😂?

Are they looking for more Iron? CalMag?
They look as if they are directly under the center of a light where ppfd is highest. They are new growth, but pretty lime. Just figured I’d see what’s good with those. They are younger in appearance?
