That’s because the entire stem of a tomato plant is covered with fine hairs that will grow into roots if exposed to soil.
I think that the most consistent cloning technique is to use an aero mist set up. I see plenty of people on here using similar techniques and generally they’ll have higher success rates.

I gotta be honest with the biting I know it was a tick he’s always had, but that was extreme and kinda seemed like he was biting every time he shoulda swung, so I don’t think it was his tick, i agre with you it was him stopping himself from takin those shots cus every one of em would have been a potential KO

Hey, personal protective equipment like gloves, a hairnet, a beernet, a mask, and scrubs for your shoes are required at the cultivation plant where I work! I find it impressive that he is wearing gloves.

However, since the health department isn't interested in our home's grow, we ought to be allowed to do as we like. Lol

I have very fond memories of growing up in an olds cutlass that my mother had there’s only one picture of that thing in existence and it’s when my knucklehead mom decided to turn down a one-way street and head on with a garbage truck and it put the fucking block of the car in the driver seat next to her She got lucky it was a bad ass fucking car too man. It was like root beer colored with a cream, top green Naugahyde bench seats, and shit.

If you have a dome and running a cloner you shouldn’t need to mist, you can but dont need to, they’ll just stay a bit perkier if they aren’t perked up already, they really kinda just continue in like nothin happened in the clones usually, I like to use the clonex root promoter spray, I use the clonex gel (even though it washes off in 15 minutes) and I use the clone and seedling solution in the rez with Hypocleanse, some just do plain water, I spray the root promoter twice a day the first 3 days then once every other day, they always do great, hell I didn’t even run those with a Dome this time lol

Honestly they should root just as easily, do you use a timer for your sprayers? I like running mine 1 min on : 4 min off after the first 48 hours (first 48 hours I run it 100% no timer)

You want at least 1 node involved in the root zone. 2 nodes is preferred, i strip the outer layer of the stem off just barely down to the white then I’ll split the bottom about 3/4” dip em in clonex and put em right in the cloner

I was touching something before I did the transplant and diddnt wanna get it in the dirt, so I put in the glove on the hand I was putting dirt into the cup with

Normally I don’t wear anything but I like being clean with my plants anyways, it’s only a one minute thing, I can wear a glove for a minute to be sure I don’t transfer a potential disease to the softened stem
