I'm away in a different country in a different time zone, but my AC Infinity controller is still showing the time back home. This is a great feature! I was worried it was gonna mess things up when I went into the other time zone

Does anyone know if my @SpiderFarmerLED light will also run on the time at home, if I use the auto function? I'm using a plug in timer at the moment as I was worried that going to a different time zone would mess things up, as the time on my phone will change

I run vivosun controllers but i help a friend maintain his ac infinity and they work the same way.

The controller doesn't use the time on your phone. It uses the time on a web server. Your recipes are also stored on a web server. The only time you might be concerned is when dst switches, if that applies to you. It won't change the 'time' really but it will display in the app an hour off.

This setting on your controller determines how the web servers utc is converted to your local time:

Anything on wifi will have the local time

You're connections on both the AC Infinity and Spider Farmer controllers are made through your router, even if not at home.

Your router is at home and hooked up to that local signal so will use your local time.

I haven't used the Spider Farmer but should be the same since the connection point is the same.
