Really not a lot to see. You can kind of see the “reddish” color and zero of the “waxy” I was talking about. Could probably press that stuff in the pic again? Im going to wait to doing anything else until I have something that can apply some “tonnage”. I may go try the straightener one more time later today (running low on smoke)

Yeah that weed should be flat as a pancake when you’re done. Do you have ratchet clamps or anything that can clamp down on the straightener without breaking it? I use to clamp down tight and listen for a sizzle when I heard the sizzle I’d release the clamps and then you’d see a little bit of steam release. After that put the parchment paper in the freezer for about five minutes on a cold plate. Then find an appropriate tool to collect the extract with, anything metal should work, surgical steel works best, but paper clips will get the job done too. Pull the plate and parchment paper out of the freezer and then press the collecting tool down into the sappy looking stuff and pull it up off the paper. Repeat until you have collected all the extract and have a gob of gooey goodness on the end of your collection tool. Then store or smoke it accordingly

Where do you draw the line as far as processing the fan leaves? Some of those are just ridiculously covered! Those make it to the trim bag?

I’ll keep most anything that’s got some trichs on it dude at the end of the day you know my larf/trim bags they sit in the freezer for a while before I actually get up the gumption to wanna process it so that being said it’s usually very good and frozen and crispy by the time I get it out I don’t mind there being filler leaf that’s all busted up in the shake if I can get some trichs out of the deal so at the end of the day man, I really don’t care that much if it’s a large leaf with you know not the most amount of trichs on it that might not seem worth it. I’ll go through the trouble I don’t care. I hate making fucking bubble hash anyway I procrastinate as long as possible before I ever break out my bags I don’t like doing bho blast with trim either. I just don’t see it as a good use of the fuel. I’d rather just use buds for that

I can get bigger hut it gets blurrier but this is just a cheap $30 Wi-Fi microscope off Amazon that you view and take the pics from your phone or laptop

It’s 50-500x magnification plus 1-2-3x on top of that, this was at like 70x magnification at 1x zoom still not real macro for that you gotta give it to @Zer0Tolerance, amazing trich shots

Was just looking at these clones and realized, why would I go buy all this new underlighting I have 200w in those 8 light bars strapped to these shelves I should give those a go next run and compare side by side without underlighting

i used to make "honey bud" w/ bho, (spray it on bud) or "honey butter (spray it into water). i did this with all leaf. it was dried to a crisip then ground thru a 1/4" wire colander, then put into a homemade sprayer that was made out of a 1L whip-it's sprayer & 2 airless paint filters, glued together, with one end capped off. simply load it up with as much leaf crumble you could put in while still being able to fit the filter assembly in it. load it with 3 cans of 99.99% pure butane, spray it out. load it with 2 cans spray that, finally 1 can and that's it, done, dump it out. this would make 18k gold colored, crystalized, sticky ass bud. back in circa 2010'ish i was in ca for a consult. this honey bud was selling for $80+/g, way back then. the dude that taught me how to make it said his dad went from maine to ca with like $5k in his pocket. bought a pound of dank and a bunch of butane for his $5k, sprayed 1/2lb of it on the other 1l2lb and sold it to the [earlier] dispensaries @ $50/g wholesale, a 1/2 pound would fetch him $11,340. nice little profit. that's all i got

Thanks for the break down!!! I may try it one more time, giving a little more time at a tad lower heat and maybe even bust the vise out! I dont want it smash the straightener to shit but I would like to get some pressure on the buds. (the wife has been wanting a new one anyways).

side note. threw that partially pressed bud into the pipe and im pretty sure I got really “body high” with a slight heady effect!
