We had to supplement our main soil mix during the grow and the soil had fungus gnat larvae in it. We have Bon-Neem, but I wanted a more organic solution. I introduced the ladybugs into the tent and in less than two weeks the gnats were completely gone. No damage to the plants at all. They have a lot of value, I would put them in even with no issues.

That’s good that your problem was whipped into shape timely. When it gets to the point of DE it gets scary.

I've had an issue with both aphids and fungus gnats in my indoor tents. In order to eradicate both/either, I would have to shut down completely and sterilize which I can't afford to do in terms of lost bud vs. chronic need. The solution? Ladybugs! While I have ladybugs amongst my plants, both ass pains are kept in check.

I couldn't care less about being organic so I tried insecticidal soap extensively and it requires repeated application to achieve the same results as ladybugs. Spraying takes hours, ladybugs take seconds to add to tent, which they tend to remain in. Any escapees look for another plant or a window. For insects, they're surprisingly well behaved.

It's difficult to find suppliers of live ladybugs so free plug for the best I've found: naturalinsectcontrol.com. Customer service is excellent, delivery fee is a bitch but understandable considering live bugs.

I've ordered from the first two..but the third option... Free shipping? Hmm.
