I currently have a photoperiod in a 2x2 running a 150w HLG led at 12 on 12 off. My question is will my two new Mephisto Bear Assed Monkey seedlings be okay to start under 12/12 schedule in the same tent with my flowering photo.

I'd put them elsewhere and give them light for 18 to 20 hrs out of the day. Seedlings don't need a whole lot of light at first so any room and/or lamp that you can keep lit accordingly will do for the time being.

I wouldn't,,,, but thats just me... Be stunting the auto right off the bat. It's life clock is running now. And 12 hours of light is just a dabble to it...

I tried growing autos under 12/12 a few times just because I had some extra space in the tent. It gives smokable buds but the plant will most likely show problems, I guess it always depends on the strain but my experiments were bad enough that I stoped doing it even if I could get a few deformed buds to smoke.

Do you plan on only starting the seedling? If you move it to another room with 18/6 or 20/4 after it grows a couple of nodes should be fine but keep in mind 2 things:
1. Its gonna be slower with less light
2. Is it gonna be warm enough when the light goes off? Less than 18ยบC for germination can totally mess the seedling or cripple it.

I harvested this auto last night. It was supposed to be a photo and it got stunted pretty bad because I had it on 18/6 with it's sister that is a photo. I just thought it was a near useless runt. Soon as she started showing flowering,,,, I was well *($*(^@^&%%$^&*_)*$#!^$)_& and bumped the lights to 20/4. To give her a chance. The other plant was still in veg so what the hell. So shit happens but to purposely go after it when a photo is in flower already. Hummmm,,,,,

I plan on trying to finish the girl in flower I have pictured, plus start two new autoflower, seedlings theyโ€™ve started already. I guess Iโ€™m gonna just finish the plant I have going and move it from the tent after 12 hours to a dark space while the autos continue to receive light.

Yes i've done finished off autos at 12/12 but never done them from seed to harvest on that time. Guess you'll get a lesson on this grow everyone learns as they grow i sure did. Now i start my autos 2 months ahead of starting my photos in the same tent. Run 18/6 all the way till photos are 6-8 wks in veg. then flip. Seeds are to expensive these days for me to waste on low yields.

i have been growing a few time auto under 12/12 mixed with my photoperiods, without any particular issues or noticeably lower yield ...

what's important in the end is DLI ...
Then that means pushing the photoperiodic plant to more light than she might like in order to reach the DLI of autos. If you say it works for you I 100% believe you but for me is a no, he is using 150W panels too like me so I expect similar results but you never know until you try ๐Ÿ˜
My 150W panels were not enough at max potency and little more than 10" to make them develop normally.

The HLG 150w light is IMHO about the best out there for a 2 x 2

Yeah, I totally agree with blast man I found that if you do 1212 with seedlings that are Autoโ€™s it does trip them early. Thereโ€™s still a majority sativa and or Indica hybrids plants so their predisposed to flower on a 1212, regardless!
Rudi genes in that case would just speed things up

I have a bunch of autos that I wanna get rid of, youre making me wanna use them with my regular feminized seeds but my experiences in the past were underwhelming, I even had them lifted to little more than 10" from the light last time I tried (probably too close I know, but they were not coming out good so thats the way I came up to give them more light than the others). Any idea on what I could do that Im not doing or what I shouldnt do that Im doing?

I swear to God if you can find out why mine are not coming good Im planting 10 today, I need more work ๐Ÿคฃ thought with 2 indoors I was gonna be happy but no. Maybe its just my chinese LED, the diodes are not samsung, they dont even tell you what they are.
EDIT: Now that I think of it, the last time I tried I still didnt have the 150W cosmos LEDs but rather the 130W chinese LEDs, maybe with the Cosmos LEDs I can make it work (still no samsung diodes but its more energy efficient than the other). Fuck, look what you guys did to me, if I get deformed frankenstains is your fault xD

with fast flowering genetics, low flyers and the such the best thing that Iโ€™ve seen is that you blast them as much as humanly possible with veg nutes (i do jot suggest new growers take this approach, not until you can see the shit train coming down the shit tracks) and you keep your lights high output low so they stretch as much as possible before they really start to get settled into their flower run

I consider a auto as a advanced plant to grow. You got to be on spot with them and have your technique down pat. Every misstep and action not done correctly is bad for them and stunts them. And those missteps are compounding. Take that last GG4 auto I had with a GG4 photo. A seed packaging mistake was the cause of that. Then I put the screw to it. I didn't realize it was a auto until it went preflower. So I had it 18/6 and on the low side concerning ppfd. And was treating it like a photo when it came to ferts. Compounding issues right off the bat. Then ignoring my ph because I had got insanely lazy with my tap water going up into the 8's just hosed the auto. And I hurt the photos also, but they can be corrected. But permeant damage done to the auto....

Okay I see, so I need to push them early with nutes and instead of blasting them right off with light to make up for the lack of hours I should let them stretch, gotcha! Ill be generous with the nitrogen so they can stretch as much as they want. Once theyre in flower I should start giving them as much light as possible? Also what pot size would be best for that purpose? 3gal? Thanks a lot ๐Ÿ™

Ive never had problems with them running them under 20/4 besides the ocassional bitchy one, however under 12/12 I never made them thrive. I really lost interest in autos when I decided that my approach was gonna be SCROG since many autos dont take it well and they dont get as big, generally speaking. That said, because I dont do LST prior to toping I dont cover 100% of the net many times so throwing a few autos in there if it works is appealing to me ๐Ÿ˜ thats why I tried in the past.

About keeping the light output low, I cant do that because I have flowering photos right now, just keeping them on the floor far away from the lights should do the trick right? The lights are in the upper 1/3rd of the tent and its 6 feet tall, they are not gonna get a lot of light. I have several sized plastic pots to use for lifting depending on how much closer to the light they need to be.
