Many sources say White Hair like objects are mold but then I see cystolithic trichomes and they also kind of look like white hairs when I zoom in. I am not sure what I am seeing or if this is safe to smoke. This is my first grow and I was quite careful overall just confused what it is.

Are those on the buds? I see the hairy looking things on my stems.

That is definitely not mold my friend :) all cannabis stems grow little hairs like that, specifically on the stems. The straightness of the hairs is the key giveaway here. If it were a bundled up bunch of white/grayish hairs id be worried. Looks completely normal to me!

Not really on the buds, Just seems to be on all of my stems some more than others seems like it runs up and down the stems but some areas have more than others maybe spots that got more light. Not really sure im really inexperienced
I got a few pictures of close up on the stemsnand back of leaves it looks the same/similar mind the dead mites tho 😂😂

As chopper and msrtpkl stated, not mold : )

Those pics were from someone else, Did you check the OP my pics i posted at the very top. Those are normal trichomes or am I over thinking it. cheers
Haha those are normal. Usually theres other signs showing if its mold. Dead/decaying plant material near the site of the hairs would be a sign to check further. But i dont see anyrhing wrong in those zoomed in pictures you posted :)

Mites are little bastards lol so hard to notice before theyre a problem....
Along as you know the early signs they're not a problem as soon as you see a few white speckles on any leaf that's spider mites I done a video I trialed 3 different agents to see what the out come would be 😂😂

Bare in mind that bud is dry so it's all shrunk and compact it's self together that's why it looks so thick also

Appreciate the help and feedback.

Rolling up a joint of her now, Cheers everyone!

Yes, your pic's also showing types of Trichomes cystolithic, sessile, capitate, some bulbous, in your pic's they are damaged, can be caused by heat, direct fan pressure, touching the buds, buds are rubbing on tent sides, degradation, etc. etc.

Got it. I made a bad mistake of putting a trellis net on during mid flower I think week 4 and it didn't solve my problem of my branch bending down so I took it off and it rubbed pretty roughly against all the buds not sure if that can actually damage or do anything to the trichomes I am trying to learn about all of this
