LB’s reversal and pollination thread

What up,
I’m attempting my first reversal and feminized cross using homemade STS spray, and will use this thread to document my work.

I’m attempting to reverse my cut of watermelon hustle I selected. She’s fast flowering, frosty, potent, and has good mold resistance (my main trait to lock down)

I’ve sprayed her with STS once already, and will be doing so again on Sunday when I flip to flower.

Might be a failure, might get some seeds to work with and take to the next generation, we’ll see!

nice looking flowers !! What was your recipe exactly for the spray ?? Been wanting to do this on a couple different strains of mine as well. I’ve done it once before with a pre mix from a grow shop and got plenty of seeds but every one I grew out hermed on me. Not sure if it was because of the spray or not but I’d like to try again with the sts. I’ll be following along for sure and hope you have great results !!

I forgot to post these last night.

These are the light ripper phenos I’m pollinating, currently in flower on day 25.

#2 is the most vigorous grower and my favorite structure

#4 is the frostiest and has the best smell to it so far. Straight lime

I have a few more phenos with clones of all, but I’m just pollinating these 2, my favorites.

Once the true keeper is picked, I will pop a bunch of those seeds and save the others

Up potted the Watermelon Hustle Donor plant today,

Flipped the tent to flower,

And sprayed STS.

They don’t look too bad considering it’s 68° in here..

Smells like lime, skunk, and candy. should pair perfectly with the watermelon

silver nitrate is expensive by weight and you dont get much, but you can make a lot more product doing it yourself -

How do you make silver nitrate?

I made my own silver thiosulfate but I’m not sure I’m ready to make my own silver nitrate crystals…

I wasn't clear, I meant making your own STS you get more, than buying premade STS -
however there is a way to make Silver Nitrate, the process is/was on Youtube...

Yeah I bought the ingredients to make gallons of sts for the same price as a small 8 oz bottle of pre made!

Nothing exciting to post, currently day 11 of bloom and just playing the waiting game.

I made pedigrees for each of my parent strains and will post them when I get around to it!
