Dear fellow farmers,

My questions is relativily easy, how to determine the best temperature for your strain?

At the moment I am growing Epsilon F1 from RQS, from their own site I find a grow log: https://www.royalqueenseeds.com/us/...L*MTczNjQzMjk0My4zNy4xLjE3MzY0MzMwNTUuMC4wLjA.

At first I thought this was a recommendation from RQS, but it is just from a customer who yielded 62 grams at the end (nothing wrong with that, but I am looking for the recommendations to get all dialed in).

I nearly completed the seedling stage I think and I am wondering what would be the perfect temperature for the RQS Epsilon F1 in early veg. Any recommendations?

I think this a start in the ballpark for general strain or per breeder recommendations and then playing with it every few days until you dial it in based off of the plants responses.

Thanks for your reply! What are signs to look for they like the heat, or don't like it?

i allways fought temps where the same for all strains.... more heat more co2
i feel like you want VPD

Thanks for your reply! I currently use an AC Infinity AI+ controller, where I use the VPD mode (0.7 to 0.9kPa for my seedlings, or early veg plants, can't really tell lol). Within the AI mode the heater has a margin of 68F/20C, but if you take it out of the AI you can control it manually.
Or does the temperature not really matter as long as the VPD is correct?

well as long as its not too cold 14C or less really doesnt make much difference.only problem is its harder to get the humidity to match. but i like to keep it from 20-30C

they should look happy and thriving. But that requires all the other variables are nice and dialed also. Im beginning to think maybe it doesnt matter the way we are thinking it does. Like if you have a sativa and Indica in the same room I think you could set a medium in all variables and shit would be rocking and rolling either way. I may have spoke on the matter from the mindset of “bro science” and thats not cool lol. Someone can correct my post please if needed or try and decipher what the hell im trying to say and do it better?🤣✌️

There are no idea temps anymore. People commonly grow between 75F and 85F. With the advent of hybrid fufu crap weed most old school logic went out the window. Then throw in auto's and it's a complete and utter cluster fuck now days. The simple key now days is stability and trend rh correctly for stage of growth. VPD charts are a window into this new brave world. But to use VPD to it's full extent one needs to know average leaf temp and use the right chart.

Thanks for your reply. I do have a vpd-gun to measure the leaftemp, which chart would you recommend?

i don’t think of best temp for a strain but more what the best temp for my tent to be to grow in.
And that for me is a minimum of 79 with lows 80’s being the sweet spot.

Enjoy and good luck with your gardening .

for some contrast, i can easily run up to 95f in my hydro set up & my
plants eat it up. higher temps mean faster metabolism which = more
transpiration, which means more water and nutrients being sucked up,
which = faster & more robust growth. i'm not saying do this. i'm saying
this is what works for me.

in short, there is no perfect temp other than the temps you decide to
run in, then you have to get the rest of your system dialed in too match it.

if you start paying to have your temp from 20 to 25 the electricity cost would be more than you would gain.soo i allways think as long as its in the range its okej
