When we first bought our house, we were covered through Lemonade for our insurance and two years ago, everyone here was uninsurable so we all had to get insurance through the State. The new policy will cover $417k worth of rebuild costs but at current rates, this same house would be $650k to replace. Should it burn down, we’re all on the hook for the difference.
