Chaotic Gardening 2025 Outdoor, greenhouse, and seed roulette!

Impulse struck! So new thread for the new year.

I decided the autoflowers that were transplanted needed neighbors. A friendly race maybe.

I picked the ground just to loosen her up a bit. Did a layer of my accidental worm bin soil, spread it, then the soil I’ve had cooking for a month or so now for the next layer. Topped with wood chips because it felt right.

I planted 4 x Grandaddy Purple and 4 x Northern lights autoflowers by @SeedSupreme. One of my kids bought me a bunch for Christmas. Hoping they are better equipped to the cold. To keep it fun I mixed them then planted. Who wants to know what they’re growing anyway.

I am going to try my best to let mother nature do its thing. I think if I leave the seeds alone, and mother nature has a sort of stable environment, we will get decent results.

Will start logging the greenhouse portion in a few days.

Here's the only clone I took from last year's grow . I'll be putting this thing in the ground when the weather warms up in Michigan

It’s in progress! This is the last grow here at the in laws. That way it has plenty of time to finish before we head out. Gonna start the greenhouse side of the madness probably tomorrow or friday.

Okay today I added a brick of coco coir to the mix. I have the green house in an arrangement I think I’m okay with

Tonight I’ll pick victims. I think I’m gonna direct sow them. I work all weekend so I won’t be around to obsess, probably their best chance of survival hahaha

Related, nothing has popped yet on the outdoor grow I started. Maybe I froze them. Maybe they just need time. I did water with great white today.

I aaaaallllllssssooo may have decided I didn’t wanna run a light for one plant and left the frosted guava outside and it’s real dead looking.

Good news for the greenhouse though, it’s gonna be a little warmer. Might be perfect actually.

Greenhouse is ready!

Pulled the inkbird because my environment is too open for that kind of controller. was just running my heater non stop.

I have one timer set for nighttime supplemental lights and a 150 watt heater. I have a bigger heater hooked up to another timer to go on for an hour, off for an hour between 10pm and like 6am.

I have two solar fans mounted to the frame, and one more on another timer for daylight hours.

Got my favorite reflective insulation down, let’s see how this goes

This round we have

Pineapple Express F1 x 2
Grape Ape F1 x 2
Green crack F1 x1
Blue Cheese F1 x 1
GSC x 2
Blueberry x 2
Wedding cake x 2

All were planted in my custom soil in 7 gallon pots that are partially filled, and given little cups to keep them a touch warmer. Watered around the outside once with great white.

Even if I have 50% germination that still give me six plants to fuck with.

Ground rules for myself;

DONT DIG AROUND FOR SEEDS
DONT FUCK WITH THE ENVIORNMENT
CONSISTENT WATERING

I really think if I stay out of the way this will have decent results. Hoping mother nature sees my effort and hooks a brother up. I work all weekend so it could be the perfect time for them to get situated without me being here to interrupt them lol.

What’s the bet this time chucky? 50% germination? 1 gram sacrifice per plant?

Genuinely curious how this compares to the autos I just finished. They had a better chance weather and season wise but I really think I did too much to them to survive

Holy shit !! That is going to be one MASSIVE plant by the time it’s done if you’re vegging it til it’s warm enough to go in the ground here in the Mitten !! Can’t wait to see it !!!

Let me think about it! You’ve got so much stuff going on. It will take a few days to sort it all out! I am rapidly learning not to bet against you! Or for you, for that matter! L O L! If there were a betting line for you in Vegas, it would always say, off!
