Ok fellas, I need some advice on saving some very old cuts. I cleaned these off a Choc. Gelato 69 days ago (I just harvested Mon) when I put the two girls into flower (3 from each). I put them in a clear glass shot glass into a 'catch all' tent all tucked back there in the shade @ 25% P2000 (200W)
I forgot the light was also set to 12/12. Every now and then I'd squirt a little water in the glass.
So, not having much experience with clone buckets and really old reveg projects I gots a few head scratchers
Should I make new end cuts
Should I add anything to the water
timer settings? and what should they be to stimulate new growth
humidity dome?
Did the clear glass add to the stalled growth as well as the light schedule? I threw some tape on the glass a week ago when I decided to save them
It would be fun to reverse them in time for Spring so any thoughts welcome

Hey Otto. I do my clones in a bucket cloner I built. Did them with plain water, or clonex. And with a dome or not. I think the fastest to root comes down to health of the branch cut. I've had really thick-stemmed not so healthy cuts dipped in rooting hormone take the same time as a really healthy cut in plain water. They all root, just depends on time.

In the bucket the dome doesn't matter as much because of the contact with water. When the plants have no roots they take in water through everywhere else. Think of it kinda like a foliar feeding, but just water. Humidity helps them stay happy and well fed.

Timer for the sprayers in the bucket? Nah. I run it 24/7. I learned that from the captain. The pump does give off heat though... so if the bucket is in a warm spot with the pump running full time, your water is going to get funky quicker. Them bad bacterias and stuff like it hot and wet. Which is exactly what cannabis loves to root in...

Did you switch them back to 18/6 lights? They will need to reveg and all of that stuff for it to work.

All of this being said. I haven't cloned/reveged a plant post harvest, so take that with a grain of salt.

There are a lot of ways to clone em. I haven't found one that didn't work yet. Just gotta wait on them.

I can confirm the Northern Lights from ILGM with heavy amber will knock me out. Very first plant that I grew. It actually bummed me out because I wanted to get high, not pass out ✌️

So when you take a cutting during flower, your plant has shifted gears from vegetive growth to blooming growth it takes a while for it to figure out what to do, and having a light schedule on 12/12 probably confused them even more. Id just keep the lights low at 18/6 and be patient. When they start to come around you’ll see new growth coming out of the woodwork, it won’t be as regular growth happens node to node. You probably have enough time to get them healthy and established by spring.

I’ve been thinking about this post all day and in the name of better living through science, I will volunteer myself as a guinea pig it’s about ten thirty pm eastern standard time right now, I’ve rolled up a nice blunt of that gross domestic product aka grand daddy purple and I will smoke it in it entirety and post again just before I go to bed.
