BTW if you are using liquid fertilizers worm castings and other amendment inputs are not necessary. The liquid nutes should have everything the plant needs.
If you decide you want to try to use the nutrition in the soil and use water only, then you want to use those types of amendments prior to planting your plant so that it has something to pull from. If you are using one of the prepared "organic soils", they aren't really soil as much as amended coco/peat/perlite potting mix, then you can do what I do and feed the plants synthetic nutrients allowing the natural nutrients to back up whatever you may be missing.
Some people call it Synthganic farming. Having used this method, I have done away with deficiencies for the most part.
