I heard it's not good 4 growing bud with miracle gro I have so.e potting soil it's got nitrogen high in it is it good 2 use

Yeah, my brother used it! Vegged like crazy! Bud Was a little Larfy! But it was fairly potent! I don’t think he fed it at all! Pretty simple and reliable way to grow! In my opinion, it’s not a bad way to start to learn how to grow and progress from there! Just two cents! You probably won’t get the most fantastic weed out of it, but you probably won’t crash and burn either! Outdoors!

Watch out for gnats.
Gonna happen with almost any soil product. Someone was unfairly singling out another manufacturer in a different thread for this too.

I use Miracle Grow for everything else I grow BESIDES cannabis. Just like many other soils with the nutes preloaded, it should get weed through the veg just fine but you'll need some amendments to the soil or supplements in the water to cross the finish line.

My own personal reason for avoiding Miracle Grow for my weed is really based on a rumor that may not even be true, and that is the buds take on a funky earthy taste. So when I was shopping for dirt at DIY, on a pallet right next to Miracle Grow was a pallet of EB Stone Recipe 420 and I went with it. I've stayed with it because it grows weed great, but I switched to the Bhang formula because it performed even better for the strains I grow.

Just for shits and giggles, I'm thinking I might bury one of my upcoming clones in a 3 gal pot of Miracle Grow and find out for myself, maybe finally put that rumor to rest... or confirm it.

Yeah, that was probably me.
I have tried it....I have seen many try it and every last one failed....chicken poop for N
Very hot.....but to be honest my experience with it was way back in the 90s. Maybe they changed but I won't try it.

Miracle Gro is brought to you by the same company that makes General hydroponics nutes! And used to distribute round up! Till the lawsuits started flying around! L O L! Around six or seven years ago, Monsanto ceased to exist! Bayer snag them all up!
Miracle Grow is ditching it's hydro side of the business. Too much heat for them.

I have used Miracle Gro in the blue bags for my outdoor Auto grows. Works as a base, but needs amending.
The quality has gone down the last 2 years, lots of tree bark, so it's rough on seedlings. I use 7 gallon fabric pots and usually hollow out the center and add seed starting mix before transplanting.

My first grow was with miracle grow soil and miracle grow bloom fertilizer. It came out fine.
I got gnats in organic miracle grow, black gold and happy frog.
I had problems trying to mix miracle grow with Promix. The main problem was the moisture retaining properties. My pots stayed heavy, that shit just don't drain well. If I was using MG today I would add 50% perlite by volume. Even then the perlite has a tendency to float to the top if watered too vigorously leaving a soggy root zone towards the bottom of the pot.

I’ve been using Miracle Grow from the beginning, about three years. I read this post because I was searching for people’s opinions and experiences. My grows have been great but my buds don’t seem to be getting dense and I’m wondering if this is the issue. When plants get to about 3\4 of vegetative stage I can tell that the nutrients are waning and I need fertilizer. I use 5 gallon fabric pots and once plants are in full veg they need 3\4 - 1 gallon of water every day. Yes they are dry every morning. I used self waterIng pots and got fungus gnats due to soil not drying. I then placed shallow trays under pots and started top and bottom feeding. This worked beautifully. Plants are very happy. My belief is that, with the amount of watering I need, by the time they are ready for bloom I have exhausted the fertilizer within the soil. I then start using bloom fertilizer. My last grow I added a small Vivosun VS1000 at angle on the side during bloom and buds did better. Main lights are VS3000 in 4x4 tent. I also used a different bloom. I’m not sure if lights, bloom or fertilizer is what made the difference. The environment is UIS controlled with focus on temp and VPD. I increase VPD to recommended level as plant matures. As always, I am open to any feedback you may have.

gnatrol WDG mixed in the water for the first couple waterings takes care of the gnats without deleteriously affecting the quality of the bud in my experience. I know I preach about water only but I do find it necessary to put gnatrol WDG in sometimes

This reply is a bit old but thought I’d update. I stopped using self watering bases. I put shallow trays under fabric pots. Now I top and bottom feed every watering. I allow the soil to dry before water again and the gnat problem is over. Completed two different grows and I’m half way through third grow. I haven’t seen any gnats since the change in how I water. Thanks for your reply.
