I can't afford Promix hp, I've been using the red bales from Walmart, which went from 13 to 20 dollars a bale, grrrr. 2 cubic ft bag of perlite from home Depot and I have a rough approximation of pro-mix HP. I emailed Promix to see what the difference was between the HP and the moisture control and could I just add more perlite and they said yes. The main difference between the 2 products, HP has better drainage because of more perlite. My plants did not like the organic Promix in the yellow bale by the way.
Dude same! That shit is expensive! Worth checking out… my local enough feed store mixes their own “pro mix” peat based and some other good stuff mixed in! I added more perlite per some instructions/way of life around here but it came out to $10 US dollars for 1.5 CF, I bought three bags! : ) 32 something out the door! ✌️

Success. Perlite and sunshine mix #4 safely in hand. Looks like Walmart is out of the Promix business, all they had was a few old bales from last year. They have gone all in on Miracle Grow products. The sunshine mix #4 has an expiration date[8/26] that's what I'm talking about. Almost killed myself getting a bale from the top shelf, 3 cubic feet is heavy! Fresh miko on the way from amazon and I'm stoked. I still have at least a couple more weeks on the seed run but I'm ready.

Two little kahunas next to their cousins Special Queen x Maui86. Doing well for still being in shot glass solos. 😅

M86 and special queen in assuming are much larger plants then the frostette (mother of kahuna iirc. Frostette x m86) Haven't grown frostette before but excited to have the 🧬

I took an early lunch pie sample too, this side branch was wedging itself into a much larger Point Break cola. So why not.

Try finding any local green house and supply around you i found a couple places by me and can get promix bx 3.6cuft bales for 33 which i think is pretty reasonable

We’re at $60 a bale up here for the AP. That’s why I have 3 different types of soil for this next round. I did find this stuff from G&B they call their Blue Ribbon Organic soil. If you put it next to FFOF, I couldn’t tell you the difference and I’ve used Fox Farm for years. Not bad at $11.49 for 1.5 cf.

You saved my cali blues from getting up potted today, saw your was thinking they look so happy and I should let them reach their full potential in the solos first. Fought every ounce of impatience in my being to just water them with recharge instead!😂
