Hey guys!

Really quick I just wanted to sort of take a poll, and see what you guys would do to maximize canopy space to get the most yield…

Would you…

1) Run 8 1 gals

2) Run 6 2 gals

3) Run 4 3 gals

In a 2x4 space

✌🏻

You can get the same yield from any of those plant counts, if you train them to fill the space. Calendar yield (how much you yield per year from a given space) will be higher with more plants, because veg can be shorter. I'm rarely flowering my 2x4, but when I do, I just do two plants in 2 or 3 gallon pots. But I'm not in a hurry.

^What he said. More plants in less gallons means less veg time because you fill the tent with plants. Less plants with more gallons means more veg time because you need to give them time to fill the tent and colonize the pots with roots.
Personally I prefeer to buy better but fewer seeds but if money is not an issue do as you wish. If youre gonna put 8 plants you might aswell go with clones too because it can be a bit chaotic with sizes and different needs even if theyre the same strain.

Cool.

Basically…

I put down ten seeds, and I’m going to narrow it down to 6.

2 gallon pots

But now looking at these 8 I currently have in one gallon pots…

Makes a guy think hahaha

Wondering if you’d still pull the same amount…

Because by others math, one gallon pots yield like an ounce, and that’s definitely less than if I did 6 in 2 gallons.

What to do…

Yield isn't directly proportional to pot size.
