I keep seeing pictures of flowering plants at weeks 6 or 7 with actual buds. I mean stacked up and looking good. I'm on week 7 and all I have are a bunch of hairs looking like puff balls. My plants are very healthy and it confuses me. I would think I have at least 6 to 7 or even more weeks til it finishes. I'm not anything but frustrated as I feel I'm doing everything right. Grown in soil with Gaia Green. I have supplemented kelp, worm tea, and a product called high brix (molasses). Today I'm adding Epsom Salt at 1 tsp per gallon.

What are your light, temperature and humidity settings?

Sativa strains can take a long time, so that could be a reason.

I guess they don't look that bad.
Light Mars Hydro 450 watt light at 80%
Temp probably averages 69f to 72f. Its 17f out here most of the day. Humidity runs mid to high 50s.
It's an indica strain.

Some people dont start counting after the 12/12 but after the whole plant shows little bit of flowers.that looks more like week4

But she looks great soo dont stress about it.and be patient last 2 weeks are the hardest

I'm not stressed just confused. I started counting at the 12/12 flip. Thx for the replies.

Yield is a function of light. You might do some math about watts per square foot of canopy. For example, 80% of 450W is 360W. If that's in a 4x4, that would be about 22W/ft², which is on the low side. Your plants look healthy, so I'm not saying turn it up, but that might help account for slower growth. I don't know how big your tent is, so that's just one thing to look at. If you're in a 3x3, never mind. 😁

well then thats why it looks too young :D i usually count after i start seeing flowers.stretch can sometimes be long

Sometimes they just take longer, tgere may be no rhyme or reason for it. That being said, crank that light if you have the vertical clearance for it!

Patience is something you could use. You plant is showing 4wk of true flower not double what you think. When people learn to count flower as "flower" then you'll be more pleased with the grow. There's " preflower " then budlets that's flower in my thinking. Not when you switch the day one of 12/12. Quit comparing your plants to others and be happy about the health of your plants it just time and patience now. You have at least 6wks to go.
