better than a senile buffoon who can't remember his name.
Other than the fact that he wasn't in the running any more he also wasn't planning to turn the country into an oligarchy similar to how Russia operates. Nor was he planning to give the billionaires a 4.5 TRILLON with a T tax break and let the average Joe pick up the tab.

The list goes on and is going on right now as the constitution is trashed, rule of law is being ignored, soft power the US has promoted for decades withdrawn so millions could die and will turn to China and Russia instead thus weakening US security and any number of other bad moves being made that are turning the rest of the western world against the US.

Being a Canadian who has followed US politics and events since I was 5 or 6 sitting at my dad's side every evening watching Walter Cronkite give us the news and nothing but the news I am but a casual observer. What I am observing is the collapse of the great American experiment in democracy and not much being done so far to stop it happening. If you don't believe it's happening and are fine with what's going on then no amount of factual effort on my part is going to change your mind.

I hope I'm wrong and if I am I'll gladly take the 'L' but I don't think I need to worry about that.

I promise this is in jest and with good humor ✌️💨🤣

This site has a no politics rule. With that being said I guarantee all of your sources are propaganda. It doesn’t matter what country you’re in it is all state run propaganda if you are watching legacy media. Ever see the montage of multiple stations stating the exact same thing word for word?

I just put together my own from ebay. You need a 1/4" line to feed a sediment filter, with a post-carbon filter to follow it between the Sediment and RO membrane.

I put a 100/gal a day RO filter together from components for about $50.

Geek pure makes a good 75gal/day countertop setup for about $60 you can get it on Amazon. You'll get about 6 months from a membrane about 3-4 from the carbon and about a year out of the Sediment filter. Longer if just Ro filtering tap water.

P s. I grew DWC for years and years. Tap water works just fine and actually takes away the need for so much cal-mag and silica in most municipalities if you can come up with a way to make it work. And that applies to pretty much all hydro methods. Tap water is actually your friend and the light chlorine helps keep the buckets sterile for longer if your temps aren't super stable (although that was more of a problem back in the hps days)

Seedlings will usually do fine anywhere from 0-120ish ppm and ph anywhere from 5.5 to 7.5, some can take even higher for the first early stretch in Dwc. You don't have to number chase much until those cotyledons start to fade. And you can start feeding light when that happens anyway. If your up high though you have to correct immediately upon first signs of coty fade tho.

When in Dwc I would start seeds in peat pellets with un Ph'd tap or bottled water. And transfer them to the pellets/buckets at first signs of coty fade. And then start worrying about number hunting, ph, ppm/ec, and nutrient levels.
You forget every city has different tap water some are not drinkablr some have 500ppm of calcium.... but yea i grow with tap water but i get burns every time if i put any amount of nutes.after 2 weeks its normal

500ppms of unknowns you mean. In the USA you can get water reports directly from your water Co., usually online now-a-days. Plants need trace amounts of chlorine, but chloramine on the other hand is not good for them. Water Utilities switch back and forth, usually seasonally, so you may have problems off and on. I know you don't like it, but here's AI:

what is chloramine & will it harm plants

ChatGPT said:

Chloramine is a disinfectant used in tap water, made by combining chlorine and ammonia. Many municipalities use chloramine instead of chlorine because it stays active in the water supply longer.

Will Chloramine Harm Plants?

  • Yes, chloramine can harm plants if not removed from your water.
  • It affects beneficial microbes in the root zone and soil, especially in organic or hydroponic growing systems.
  • It can cause stress to plants, inhibit nutrient uptake, and damage root health over time.

Chloramine vs. Chlorine in Water:

  • Chlorine evaporates from water if left to sit out for 24-48 hours.
  • Chloramine does NOT evaporate easily and requires specific treatment to remove it.

How to Remove Chloramine from Water for Plants:

  1. Activated Carbon Filters: A high-quality carbon filter will neutralize chloramine.
  2. Use Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C):
    • ¼ teaspoon of powdered Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) will neutralize chloramine in about 50 gallons of water.
  3. Reverse Osmosis (RO) Systems: Will effectively remove chloramine from your water supply.
  4. Commercial Chloramine Neutralizers: Products used for aquariums (like Prime by Seachem) work for grow systems too.

Is it harmful long-term?

  • In hydroponics, chloramine can kill beneficial bacteria in the root zone.
  • In soil, it can wipe out beneficial microbes crucial for nutrient uptake.
  • Long-term exposure can lead to nutrient lockout, stunted growth, and poor yields.
