Looking good bear water! Put a bit of styrofoam or cardboard under your heat mat. It'll act as insulation, and make the heat mat run more efficiently. I try and keep the mats separate from any water. At least the ones I use (they had warnings about water)

You should put you a pcv pipe under ground and put the hose through it if you always grow there. It won't freeze n bust all the time then. Make the pvc pipe big enough for you to be able to change it if it happens. Also recommended 18" deep to stay earth temp.
Thats a good idea! I have thought about just plumbing water out there( but still run into the issue of it being cold) so my remedy to that is make a storage tank that sits inside the shed, also ill be able to get some of the chlorine to evaporate off.

Hey Suds! Things are going good! Sorry I missed your post, I came to update things today and saw it! I’ve been tootling around the farm also! Just hadn’t made it my thread, My bad : ) also I’ve been super busy around the house! Catching up on some projects and planning for the upcoming and all the other pipe dreams! Hahaha!
