Hello everyone,

I'm living in a country where finding fertilizers for our plants is a little bit difficult. I have 8 auto plants growing indoor in 3.5l fabric pots and I'm using the following nutrients:

pH PERFECT® SENSI COCO GROW A+B
Voodoo Juice
B-52

Big Bud Coco (not yet, still in veg)
Override (not yet, still in veg)

My problem comes finding pH PERFECT® SENSI COCO BLOOM A+B, it's impossible! So I would really appreciate your suggestions on what to do. I should buy a base nutrient for bloom from another brand? Should I try to use the Advanced Nutrients but the regular one and not the coco one?

Another thing that I want to check with you, is that I water every day with around 500ml of water each plant (more or less until I see water getting out of the pot) with nutrients. I should do that every day? Or should I water 1 day with nutrients - 1 day only water?

I'm a beginner growing with coco, so your advice it's going to be very helpful! Also, I you think I'm missing any product, happy to read you!

AN's non-coco lines often include urea as a nitrogen source. Not the end of the world, but I would use another brand. I don't know where you are, but any balanced hydroponic nutrient line would work. GH, Terra Aquatica, Jack's, Peters, Athena, Masterblend, Megacrop, Diamond, etc. They're all combinations of more or less the same agricultural commodity chemicals. You could get the free HydroBuddy app and try to get close to the elemental inputs of the AN line with another line, if you like.

As far as watering and feeding frequency go, that's dependent on your system...pot size, quality of your coco, any additives or amendments, etc.

Thank you very much for your reply!

Does anyone know this brand? Is easy and cheap to find: https://nutrifield.com/grower/coco-grower/

Hello guys,

I think I'm going to go with GH Flora line (Micro, Grow and Bloom) and also complement it with their CalMag. That is necessary? Or should I get it just in case I see some deficit in the plants? Should I start using it before seen any sign of need?

Combining the GH Flora with the products I already have is good? AN B-52, Big Bud Coco and Override?

Thank you!!

Because another question that popped up in my mind, if I keep using the pH PERFECT® SENSI COCO GROW A+B + the GH Bloom... that's a good idea? Thinking about the ph perfect formula in fact... or should I stop using the AN and go with the 3 parts of GH?

You will definitely need calmag with Flora Series. It's what I use exclusively.

@FloridaMike is on it! GH trio is pretty easy to mix, but certainly will need CalMg. Was your coco pre-buffered?

Make sure you are mixing and pH'ing in the correct order, too. What's your water source? So many things to consider with coco...

I didn't do anything with the coco but hydrated it...
I´m using osmosis water, as where I live the quality of the water is not very good.

Then, mixing Flora series with the other AN that I have + CalMag will be fine? I´m not missing anything?
I decided to grow again after so many years, and the first time I did it the results were not very good... I have a very good harvest in terms of quantity, but the quality was not very good, in fact I did something wrong because I was feeling high at all with the weed I got (I only used a generic 3 part base nutrient and that was it)

Thanks to both of you!

I missed this earlier... According to the link:

• Pre-buffered with calcium

Since that is established, you aren't necessarily behind the curve with respect to CalMg, however like FloridaMike said, you'll need it with GH flora trio. It's exactly what I've used with coco/perlite in my ebb and flow system.

If you're switching over to GH, then tell us what you've fed so far, how many times, ppm/EC, and the age of your autos.

I have been using AN sense coco grow A+B, Voodoo Juice and B-52 in every watering (approx 300-500ml per plant every day).
I´m measuring the EC, but the PH of my water is 6.5-7 (I´m using the aquarium test to get that number :))
I planted them 1 month ago and I have seen the first signs of flowering today

I'm not familiar with any of those... If they don't have much in the way calcium and magnesium, then you'll need to add it. My general rule of thumb is not buy anything with gimmicky names or marketing hype. GH has been around a while and I've used it nearly exclusively in hydro and even the wife's potted flowers. It always works.

Gather your RO water.
If you choose to use Si, add it first. It will raise pH. Stir.
Then add CalMg. Stir
Next add GH micro. Stir.
Then GH bloom . Stir.
Then GH gro. Stir.
If desired, fulvic and humic can be added at this point.
Check pH and EC/ppm, adjust carefully the pH to your desired target.

When first starting with hydro, I checked pH and EC after every step to get an idea of how each piece of the puzzle effects the mix. It gave me great insight.

If you are hand watering, water to about 20% runoff. Testing runoff is not really necessary, unless you suspect a buildup of salts and need to flush. Keep in mind that what you put in to 20% runoff is what's in the cocoa at that point. The next feeding will replace what's in it now, for the most part.

I'm not knocking those products, and that's not meant to be a slight, but I'm a no-nonsense person and super skeptical when it comes to marketing. Products should speak for themselves, in my not so humble opinion.

Here's a random page of an older grow journal of mine:

Bobcat.Branch is providing solid advice. Avoid the additives other than CaliMag and ArmorSI. GH Flora line is more than enough to grow the best. Below is where I started with Coco Coir and the GH Flora line. In veg I treat Coco like soil by giving it slightly dry and wet cycles until the root ball forms. After that I treat it is semi hydro, keeping it wet daily and then using a fan I make sure it dries slightly overnight. The cycles of wet and slightly dry will vary your EC and PH levels to ensure she can feed across the spectrum

Can't go wrong with GH flora trio plus cal/mag. I've been a loyal customer for 20 years. Back in 2020 I started tinkering with their supplements and added Armor si, diamond nectar and floralicious bloom on a permanent basis after seeing the results. Good luck!!

Results-driven... That's how it should be! 👍🏻

Thank you very much guys for all the information, very useful!

Just one question as I will try to avoid buying similar products, the Armor SI that you are mentioning from Flora is similar to other of the products that I have from AN? Maybe the B-52?
