To the mods: couldn’t find a landrace category, please move this to the appropriate category if required.

As the title says, I am looking for anyone growing or breeding and documenting landrace strains in a video format.

I need to clarify that I am asking about YouTube or similar site because I am an old timer and don’t use Facebook or any similar social media 😵‍💫. If it turns out social media is the only place to find such grows, I suppose I will have to get out of my rocker and get with the times.🤓
I just find those short-attention-span sites incredibly annoying and I don’t expect to gain much information from a 20 or 30 second video.

I understand there may be some sites that I would have to pay for and I am open to that as long as there are good growers or breeders with landrace plants.

FYI - I am already subscribed to Jade Nectar on YouTube, if you’re interested in landraces you really need to see some of his videos. He’s all outdoor and some greenhouse, but anyone else doing indoor would be awesome!

Thank you very much to all who reply!

I grew three panjshir’s and one Arcadian last summer! Had 3 hunza valley Going also, but they all turned out to be Male. Didn’t do anything special! Don’t know of any instructional videos for them. Going to grow more this summer hopefully! Good luck!

I've seen his videos. Check out @superchola on here he grow landraces lives in Ecquador.

Thanks for the feedback, sorry you didn’t find anything special.

To be honest, I’m a fairly experienced grower (20+ years) and not necessarily looking for instructional videos. That said, I am always learning about this plant, whether I intend to or not 🙃. My last indoor grow I had my first encounter with black spot fungus, and my last outdoor grow I battled Septoria and caterpillars for the first time.😤

I am just looking for someone who records their grow on video, something I can have in the background while doing grow room chores. I like to have a puff watching Jade Nectar walk around his beautiful garden while he’s talking about all the different strains and their individual characteristics etc.
Another example is the boys on Mendo Dope. Pretty entertaining and grow huge trees too, but no landraces that I’ve seen. Must be nice to live in such a place as California! 😎

Anyway, starting to look like we just don’t have any video documented land race grows just yet.

Yeah, I’ve seen a lot of the Jade Nectar videos! They are awesome! No long videos on my thread! But a lot of pictures and short videos! And other bullshit! L O L! I’m going landrace or close from here on out! I fell in love with them! Enough to send €195 to some guy over in Europe for 20 beans of Jalisco and Sinaloa for a little south of the border fiesta this summer! Not really Landrace, but local domesticate! We’re going to see about growing these Landrace and I have a few others laying around here! I consider all Landrace’s special! No more modern FuFu for me! Landrace ahoy!😁🐒

Awesome! I’ll have to start checking out your stuff, or following you, or however that works, lol! Thanks 😎

I have some Landrace that I've been wanting to grow... but not till Sept. Lambs Breath and Highland Durban Poison. My YouTube page are short vids (me just goofing around) and I'm really early into it. You got me "thinking" about doing a grow type vid of these.

Sounds good, I would be interested to see anyone’s landrace grow. I’m currently running some Durban Poison but I don’t consider my version a Landrace because it came from Dutch Passion and I believe they crossed it with an Indica to make it less stretchy or bigger buds or higher THC or all of the above.🙃
I’m running three from seed and they’re about to go into flower. I’ve run it before and was unimpressed but wanted to finish the pack. If there’s a keeper I will have to re-veg, but I’m not expecting one. I will document them but it’s part of a mixed grow, so again not really landrace specific.

Mine was ... According to the website.. (who really knows) was sourced from Africa. Probably collected and bred out for the masses from somewhere else .. you just never know, but these seem to be straight Sativa. No Indica mixed in. What you guys think?

I think you’re golden! That’s who I ordered my mex seeds from! I think you can count on them being un tampered with! This is the first time I’ve ordered from them! Glad to see you, received your beans! I kind of felt like they were legit! At least that looks like the land race team. Looked again, and saw the TLT! Sweet! A fellow could go crazy looking through their catalog! L O L! I think you’re gonna be growing some genuine, Durban poison! If you can get them to pop! 😁👍

Yeah, that happens a lot! You really have to pay attention. Never really see any land races run indoors around here! But outdoors they go to town!✌️

A quick video maybe if I can get it to upload! September 26 of 24! About a month and a half before harvest!View attachment 2382546
That’s an interesting grow for sure, thanks for posting!😎

It looks like you’re running two plants per pot and you seem to be training sideways as well. Are you training sideways just to give them space from one another or would you train sideways anyway?
I ask because it reminds me of what I did with an auto recently. I’m uploading a 40 second video of an auto diesel (G13 labs) that I harvested about a week later, only because I trained it completely sideways and got a bunch of nice colas out of it!👍 This is nothing at all to do with landrace, but seeing your side leaning plants made me wanna show off my little sideways lady.
As far as sound, nothing descriptive or helpful just fan noise, lol sorry about that.

Also, that freak show looks awesome! Can you describe it as far as smell, taste and effect?
I have some Afghani from TRSC but it will be a long while before I’m able to run it. My Sudanese will be next🤞
Your video may have been short but it had lots of nice plants to look at, much appreciated👍

Some of them aren’t sexed before they go into the pots. If If two Girls, I will leave them! My plants are small and they don’t get in each other’s way! I bend them for ease of maintenance and inspection! Seldom have to support anything throughout the grow! I am old, so it works better To keep the plant at my level! Plus, I like the cola Garden look as opposed to the Christmas tree look! Every time I don’t bend one I regret it later! Freaks were a total flame out! Looks good, smells like juicy fruit, but short on tri-combs! That equals no buzz. Waste of time, other than the novelty of growing it!

Your plant looks nice and tight! Training indoors is a way of life! I will enjoy watching someone trying to tame a land, race indoors! Looks like you’ve got The skill to do it! Is the Sudanese from the real seed company also? That’s where my Arcadian and Panjshir and Hunza valley came from! But they don’t Carrie, any South American or Filipino stuff pretty much all Asian and African! That Sudanese looks perfect for growing indoors! Also looks good for growing outdoors east of the Mississippi in the land of the short season!

Nice! That VB sounds like some wicked stuff if you have time to finish it! No shortage of Southeast Asian stuff available! TLT has 27 different varieties of Thai weed alone!

Cool, thanks for the info. I am also an old timer and find ease of growing out ways all the trendy tricks and techniques for me too, lol. Simplicity is a beautiful thing.

That’s such a letdown to grow such an interesting looking plant and have it smell so good but then have weak medicine, sorry about that.
