Thanks, cheese! They are fast as hell to grow too! I read a bit about the Pineapple, similar process, but you root the crown instead of the tail end. People say it'll take a couple months... lol nice looking plant though, so hopefully I get one to root.

I think that's granite. Should be good for a bonsai. Made from quartz and feldspar mostly so it won't leach into the water.

to the burger rock rock burger. it does look solid you would need a few fillings after a bite of that. nice to know though bro, am gonna try it.

yeah man, thats new to me im learning maybe ill try it onetime. a couple months to root though, i wonder if theres a faster way to root them. i do like pineapple though. ive had a few pineapple tasting buds before too with the tint of pineapple.

Thanks, the rubber band made sense because i had it on hand and it's easy to adjust. You could do the same with a couple chopsticks and some tape too. Whatever you have will work.

I might not even fruit the pineapple if it roots. Might just keep it in the house as an air purifier/nice looking plant.

It's a nice looking rock, granite is a stable one too, so won't fuck up the ph of your water. You might find this interesting:

A couple went a little yellow 2 feedings after I pulled the N back so I raised it back up. I also gave them some Beastie Blooms (0-50-30) over the last week so very surprised she still P hungry. Not sure... .

Top side looks ok. The golfballs are turning into egg heads:

Still lights out for the flower tent when I leave in the morning, but Ill get some pics up later.

More detail on the recent feedings:

I've been giving them about 750ml a day. There were a couple days over the last 2 weeks that were skipped because of low temps and higher humidity that caused a slightly slower dry back.

In the 2 weeks I added the N back up to full strength when I notice a few yellowing leaves near the bottom.
Per gallon:
15ml Big Bloom (0-0.5-0.7)
10ml Grow Big (6-4-4)
10ml Tiger Bloom (4-8-4)

Earlier this week I hit them with a gallon of water with .25tsp of Beastie Bloomz (0-50-30) over the course of 2 feedings.

Deficiency seems unlikely, because of how well fed they are. Makes me think it's a lock out or maybe abundance. Whoops. I'll take a look a little later and see what i can do. This is first day of week 4 after flower start.

While I struggle with figuring that stuff out, here is some good news:

If a seed splits a little with only a little bit of a tail out, I'll soak a paper towel in the water the seed soaked in (there are enzymes and nutrients that promote root development released when the seeds split, so I figure I'll make sure they get some of that juice.)

I only leave them sunk for 36hours tops, then to the paper towel in a ziplock bag. I don't want to drown the poor seed before it has a chance.

Definitely would! That's kinda what I'm trying to achieve while ensuring the seed is viable before wasting some soil.

If you stick a seed in the dirt it'll release that same juice right into the soil. And skip messing around with the water and stuff.

Hell if it has a tail in the first 24 hours in the water I put it in the dirt and water it in with the soak water.

There is a healthy dose of "bro science" not necessarily "grow science" involved . It's worked for me, but that's all I know.

Also, I love a bit of debate! Even more so when it forces me to think differently about what I'm doing! We learn as much, if not more, from the losses than we do from the wins!

I got my new pro lite like stuff and im going to use that this next go around. Thinking about just throwing them in and rocking on! Hahaha! Im sure there’s a little grow science behind it : ) they do have enough nutes in their little leaves and all to get them by for a few weeks to a month! So im with on your thoughts here : )

That's the only way to do it! Constantly evolving! If your seeds aren't old, and you don't get tempted to poke around in the dirt, I think that's a really good way to do it. I've been noticing that in the seedling stage the less you touch them, and the less you think about them the better they do!

A soil mix i really love (recommended to me by the one and only @Captspaulding ) is fertilome ultimate potting mix. Super fluffy, drains well, isn't crazy hot like the fox farm stuff, no sticks and twigs, and way cheaper than any cannabis specific soil.

I got some calmag mixed in to today's feed! Thanks, cheese. She's looking fine up top, just didn't want her to give up cuz i wasn't paying attention . I was thinking about a bit of a defol, but I'll probably leave em a bit bushy.

When chucky reads this he's gonna have something to say ... the geological groups have local maps of most places with detail on the bedrock composition and types of stone naturally found in the area. I have a few spots I think I'll find some cool ones. Just hard to tell until you pull them out of the ground lol
