2 weeks into flowering. Can I still do LST?

Hi, folks. I'm here to pick your brains once again. All the advice I've gotten so far has been a life-saver, and the plant is doing very well, or so I believe...lol.

As you can see in the pics, I've quite a few branches coming up nicely, and a few of them are quite a bit taller. I'm very limited in my height for my light (2x4x4' tent) and really don't want to have to cut the tops off those tallest branches. Can I still do some LST and tie them down to the same height as the rest of the canopy this far into flowering? I flipped it 16 days ago and it doesn't seem to have stopped stretching yet. Any advice is welcome, as I don't want to do something to damage her this far into growing it.

might be oki to bend/LST them gently, or supercrop/HST without too much damages on the stem.

( in the supercropping articles there's a video where they are doing it nearly the same stage as yours plants, notice this require a balanced feed regimen for the stem to be still flexible and not too brittle)

Thanks, Herbal. I'll dive into those this morning. The stems are still quite pliable so bending them shouldn't be too much of an issue in that sense. I've been feeding them a 1/2 strength solution for the GH Flora trio in distilled water, pH'd to around 6.2-6.3 and giving her approx. 2L of treated water per day. Seems to be loving that routine so far.

That's great to know, 7munkee. Gives me the confidence to gently bend/tuck/tie down the few stems that are really stretching. As I said, I'm almost at my max. height for my tent with my light as it is. Last thing I want to do is to start burning the plant at this point in the game.

From one scrogger to another, I’ll keep moving branches as long as they keep stretching. 4 weeks post flip is about wrap even for the secondary branches

Okay, well thanks for the advice, folks. I've read those articles mentioned on supercropping and HST a couple of times now, and have attempted my first go at it. It felt like all went well, no stems broken (although there were two that did have quite a bend in them). I'll keep checking on it over the next few days to make sure nothing is damaged and all is healthy. Got the canopy down to a much lower and more consistent level so I'm not too concerned about light burn anymore.

Once again, thanks for all who chimed in and helped to steer me in the right direction. Couldn't do it without all your help, folks!

I have an indica dominant plant that wasn't supposed to get tall so I didn't train or top in time and now that main cola is trained towards the back and is about equal in height as the rest and doing great.

That's great to hear, logman. I've just finished doing the same to mine. It's a Godfather OG strain, so wasn't expecting the sudden burst of growth like I got over the last 5 days, that's for sure! I've tucked/tied/bent the stems to keep it all more or less flat and even, so we'll see how it goes over the next week. I'll definitely keep this in mind for the next grow. I'm thinking of doing a manifold (mainline) technique for the next round. Knowing what I learned through this grow (my first indoors) I can set myself up ahead of time for just such a situation.

That looks like a fantastic start, GoldenRoad! From the pic it looks like you've done your second topping, correct? How far along from germination are you at this point? I have to say, the symmetry on her is looking absolutely beautiful!

Exactly. I haven't grown an untrained plant since I grew outside in the late 80's. Now I'm forced to grow inside because I'm in a state that would lock me up in a cage for it.

Thank you! Second topping is done and it broke ground on the 18th of January. This one will be in veg longer than the others by a couple of weeks. I have two Cali Blues that just got their first topping this week as well.

It certainly looks a lot neater than my pipecleaners twisted around the netting, that's for sure! The nice thing is between this forum and my current learning curve, I now know how to do things more efficiently and properly on my next grow.
