Earthworm castings, make sure it’s got enough aeration pumice or perlite, whatever you choose to use

Organic compost / mushroom compost both great additions as well

My at flip mix I keep the Gaia Green ratio 50/50 2-8-4 / 4-4-4 mid flower top dress I go 75 % 2-8-4 / 25% 4-4-4, I add in some azomite, some fish bone meal, kelp meal, epsom , gypsum few other random things
I forgot the earthworm and perlite man my brain is fried.

My only complaint with coast of Maine soils is I always get a TON of Gnats with it, I’ve used the organic compost, the organic potting mix, the tomato and vegetable mix, all crazy gnats, great outdoor soil horrible indoors, promix barely any gnats ever, love it

I use tons of the coast of Maine amendments the lobster meal, fish bone meal, kelp meal, they have a mix feed that works great, just the soils are always seems to be gnat loaded unfortunately , great soil to grow in though, plants love it

I started some plants in the potting mix (purple bag) the plants exploded, I still amended it myself but they did awesome in it to start off

Ok ill give the EWC another try. I got a little gun shy from that stuff after i added too much to my seed starting mix and really water logged the soil lol. I know it was my own doing, just one of those “eh maybe ill just skip this part” on the subsequent runs 🤣

But im all in with the Gaia! : ) everything in my shed right now has either bin amended in or top dressed with it! 🤩 I was so excited to get that stuff and apply it. so far so good! : ) I have some access at the feed store to some raw ingredients such as you recommended, ill have to get down there (its where i get the bags of peat soil stuff)
thanks Mike!

I want to try that. Does it take forever for them to get that size?

Other than weed I've only grown shrooms. Loved those but hated the stomach cramps they gave for the first few minutes. Maybe it was the variety I grew, idk.
if you dont like the stomach funk of shrooms, you def wont like the stomach funk from mescaline. Its a pretty solid order of magnitude or two worse before it kicks in if youre just making a cactus brew. Even pure mescaline causes a fair bit of gut discomfort for most.

Well fed i get about 2 foot per column of growth every season, and once theyre a little older you might have several columns per plant. they propagate exponentially. it feels like it takes forever because it does, but then a day comes on the bell curve where you suddenly realize you have more then you could could ever grow or brew

that one has some bridgesii in it :3

One could say I'm.a big fan of such cacti (these are my propagation cuts for this spring on the red tub, metal pan has aged brew cuts 😉) All trichocereus species are welcome here lol.

You better watch out with cacti man, itll feel like nothing for a long time, then all of a sudden youll have more then you know what to do with 🤣 itll quickly become life encompassing.

It may seem like im mainly a cannabis guy because of how much time i spend with those plants. But nah, im a cactus guy. Cannabis is just some sauce. The daily gravy.

San Mescalito sends his reguards to any and all cultivators of the plant world 💚
I’ve always wanted to try. Never came across any around here though
