I thought it was Mikedin that was using it. thanks for letting me know. i have heard that you shouldn't use epsom salt so i was looking for alternative. i will give this a go this go around.
Oh he probably does too I just happened to be in the shed on here. ✌️

one dry salt based nutrient isnt exactly any more effective then any other. When it comes to the dry solubles the micronutrent levels in combination with their antoganistic macro nutrients and npk ratios are all that really matters in the end. Most important thing is the economics of it when your using dry solubles.

One brand of calcium nitrate based epsom salt dosed at 250 ppm or a given ec isnt going to be any different then another brand calcium nitrate laced epsom salt at the same ratio and ppm/ec.

the same can even be said comparing pre diluted liquid salt based nutrients to dry solubles. Theyre actually all the same compounds mixed in different ratios and diluted to different overall % of the whole.

My jacks 20-20-20 is almost identical in composition to my mega crop, theyre just different ratios and ill apply them in a different context or two different plants asking for different things.

Funny truth, my transition feed ratios are almost identical to the Miracle grow vege and tomato dry soluble which is almost identical to partially PK boosted mega crop. the pink miracgle grow lol. In terms of ratios and composition at least. I just dont use miracle grow because id prefer my $ not go to monstanto (scotts). The only thing the mg lacks in contrast is the silica and humic acid tbh.

Simple truth, is that they are all literally the exact same things. Just modified ratios of the exact same things.

Another simple truth, technically, is that because the miracle grow is recrystallized homogenously with an inert binder to prevent reactions, it would actually be the MOST consistent mix to mix of the 3 tbh, Every single solution mixed would be exactly the same to the smallest of volumetric measurements 🤣 🤣

Im definitely a blunt truth kinda guy lol. Miracle grow is some of the best dry soluble feed thats made. Definitely the most consistent in bulk. It just is what it is where thats concerned. Im just unwilling to fund scAtts/monsanto when theres plenty of essentially identical, just as effective 1 part dry feeds available from any number of actually respectable companies like greenleaf or Jacks and more. I used to use botanicare product all the time, then monsanto bought em out and jacked up the price. Poof i went. I used miracle grow all the time as a teenager before scotts bought em, and worked as well as any other dry soluble. The ONLY problem with MG is that using it these days is just akin to selling your soul to Satan for a bag of weed and a basket of tomatoes 🤣

Yeah!? I just ordered a 400g bag of the mega 1part as im almost out! Saw that cal-mag but still have my bushdoctor stuff🤷‍♂️ ima get a bag! : ) how long have you been using it for now?
Since last fall. I still have half a bottle of CAliMAGic too. I prefer the dry nutes over mixing liquids these days. ✌️

Anybody grow tomatoes in a tent? I'm assuming the fans and me giving the stem a good shake is enough to pollinate them. Think I should get in there with a little paint brush?

@Mikedin i know you start all of yours indoors, ever leave one to flower?

you need to grab a cheap paint brush from the dollar general and go flower to flower with it 👍

theyll wind pollenate but not anything like the results youll get with insect or direct pollenation.

Same for peppers. They pollenate, youll get fruit, but not anything like whipping out a little paint brush

Be gentle, just a light brush n tap is plenty, its as easy as it sounds. I have my mom brush over all her open tomato flowers in her little tent once a week once theyre going good. Well fed, well lit, well pollenated, you can expect clutches of tomatoes that look almost like giant grape clutches. Especially with smaller fruit cultivars
