i do gotta say i wanna do a side by side throw down with a PL-1000and a SF1000, might pick up a SF1000 myself just to test it

i havent noticed much difference between my el cheapo unbranded ebay full spectrum panels, and my viparspectra or phlizon ones. Theyre all in that 2.6-2.8 umol range and all have the same samsung diodes.

The viparspectra lights have the smoothest dimmer knobs out of what i have. And the ones i have use discrete drivers you can place outside the tent easily too which is cool. The unbranded ebay lights seem to cast the biggest foot print and also seem to have the fattest flowers (but they also have the most warm white and deep red). The phlizon panels def burn my plants the easiest, but also seem to edge the others out in resin content, but thats also a very difficult thing to quantify even with same same clone runs. The newer phlizon panels seem about the same in that regard. They have the most cool white and UV

Back in KC i was under pretty nuch exclusively cheap unbranded ebay full spectrum panels last couple years after i moved and still use em. As good as anything else ive used.

None of them really seem different enough in performance for me to care which are over what plants and when though lol. I def prefer 5000k and 6500k shop lights for seedlings and veg though.

Ive never used anything spider farmer, but not for any particular reason. I just haven't.

Funny thing. If I picked my favorite full spectrum LED I've ever had, it's these unbranded El cheapo 95w eBay panels that cost like $30 with free shipping. It's a champ. My last run in tent one was flowered under two of these. Had em for years. You can flower a 3x3 under one of these and still have decent results.same Samsung diodes as the philizon panels I have. Im leaning towards them being better lights for flower then the phlizon but it's hard to tell for sure

I have a PL1000 and a PL4500 then the FD6500 the 4500 can easily flower a 4x4 at 70% the fd6500 is a game changer, awesome light , bit more heat But plants love the light spectrum

random info and tidbits of personal experience:


in my experience the quality of filtering capacitors and rectifier diodes in the driver of an LED light can effect how much the plants enjoy it almost as much as spectrum itself can for what its worth.

I have some super dirt cheap amaon 65w panels with tiny drivers on the chords, they burn up eventually and i repaired the drivers with much higher quality filtering caps and rectifier diodes so it wouldnt happen again. Every plant under the first one i repaired (back in KC) looked glowier within a day or two, and i did the same with the ones that hadnt burnt out yet, and saw the same improvements.

Hooked the drivers up to an oscilloscope to try and figure out what was up....

An led can still fire with a lot of noise on the signal its getting is what i learned. And even though you cant see that noise, just the fundamental wavelength of light being produced doesnt mean a plant cant pick up on the dirt in the signal.

Driver quality is as important as spectrum and the LED's themselves with full spectrum led grow lights.

That being said, on mass produced lights you may end up with two identical lights, with two idential spectrums to your eye, and one seems to perform better then the other. Its very possible. In fact, once you have enough lights, its likely at least one of them has a noisy driver (Noise as in AC traces on the DC rail due to poor filtering and poor ac/dc rectification)

The other day I mentioned how much I love that jacks 202020 soluble plant food for turning around problems plants. As a foliar and root feed both.

When you resolve a problem, or have deficient or sick plants on the turn around, that stuff is EPIC for returning a plant to full glow.

Tbh most of the time, with most plants. I veg on a 202020 feed until the end of flower stretch, then Ill transition to flowering ratios I dial in specific for each keeper clone I run/re run.

I Don’t remember the name of the strain, cause when it comes to dispensary bud, I mix them in a big jar to get a random buzz each time like in the old days growing up as a teenage stoner.

Day 41, a day before both phenos have been 6 weeks into the flowering stage.

One is smaller, while the other one has been my favorite and its looking pretty descent

Will let the other pheno that has the smaller buds grow a couple more weeks.

The data sheet provided by Royal Queen Seeds says it can be harvested in 9-10 weeks… eventually I will use a magnified glass to inspect the trichomes.

If you were out here under better circumstances than I would offer to meet up with you. Im an hour north of Boston. Plenty of dispensaries in Massachusetts if you run out of stuff or want to feel like a kid in a candy store. Watch out for those mass state troopers, their lights are blue not red lights like NY grey/blue ford explorers mostly. Safe travels and again condolences to you and your family.

Yooo same thing in ct almost forgot about that. After nine pm and sundays the package stores close and they don’t sell booze. Other than in a bar.
