When I grew out in the boonies on the edge of the kalmiopsis wilderness area in southern Oregon on the north Fork of the Smith! Had a big pile of leftover bags of unused, cow and chicken manure stashed underneath the Manzanita! When I would walk back up to camp after dark, I would hear the bears crashing through that manzanita like it was nothing! Tough sons of bitches! They were in love with that manure pile!

Those things are a menace! They tear up
everything, they’ve taken over one of the better waterfowl refuges near me and wrecked it. So bad they hold special hunts for them. They’re quite tasty before they get too big. Once they’re big, they’re nasty, both in flavor and temperament. They’ll eat you if given the chance!

They are bad news I run a solar electric fence around the perimeter and a 8 foot fence around the garden. Lots of deer with absolutely no hunting, they are getting out of control.

Yeah, my brother lived in Bama! Pretty much open season on dear either sex! Lol!
But the big difference is, pigs have litters of 10 or more! Deer usually two! And dear are nibbler’s! Pigs are more like a John Deere pulling a disc! Phyto is dead on! Even the cute little piglets must die! Lol! Here’s a picture of one my brother got down in Riverside County! After he moved back from Bama!

i'll eat them but i don't like the recoil on my bad shoulders. my eyesight is getting worse too.

100% craze! Don’t have those youthful broad shoulders with padding anymore! And going in tomorrow for a drivers license renewal! Just the vision test! But I don’t have a good feeling about it! and dragging 150 pounds a couple hundred yards uphill is out of the question also! But dressing, cooking, and eating! Count me in!

More like, the ozone! But yeah, last year even the guys up in Ontario we’re getting well into October if not November! Makes me wonder if mother nature was just baiting a trap! The experience guys can pull it off! But it’s a rude awakening back there for the novice outdoor grower! L O L! Mother nature threw you guys a bone!

yes exactly. that what the young guys are for. now if we are dove hunting i can handle a 12 gauge. i would love to have no neighbors. i might just have to go down to Osage. there's plenty of fishing. Trout season is about over. we have some Trout the other night. I like to Crappie fish, or Walleye. would like to go salmon fishing one day.

We have a rule when pig hunting (deer too), either shoot them uphill or within 100 yards of the road (that's how long the winch on the jeep goes). My buddy makes massive amounts of linguisa out the pigs he harvests.

I hear that brother! And sausage is always a good way to go! Nothing wrong with venison burger! And as far as I’m concerned, if you find a good processor! I don’t mind paying to have it cut and wrapped for a couple bucks a pound! And those guys know what they’re doing with a sausage grinder too! Lol! The older I get the less averse to 20th and 21st century technology I get!
