Well, I’ll lean into that question about the you know taking leaves off of plants late and flower like that is the dumbest shit I’ve ever seen in my life especially where autos are concerned. On top of Auto flowering built in handicap over feminized and reg seeds alike, meaning by introducing a third of the plants overall genetic make up with rudaralis ditch Weed, I see someone who’s gotten a plant that far in its lifecycle and then they literally stripped the plant to magically making its own buds larger by thinking that for some reason that leaving just the flower with destroying its means of nutrient absorbsion (light) is gonna somehow make it bulk up It’s stupid and it doesn’t work. Also, if you go that route, you might as well just put the brakes on putting any type of water solution in the medium to feed the plant anymore ( which actually adds weight) because it’s not gonna transpire correctly at all so if you were like in a rush to get your plants root zone sick right when it’s gonna you know, pack on as much resin and weight in flower buy all means, get at it leatherface . auto flower advocates with zero fundementals in how plant biology works are such a pain in the ass athe novice community around them has a tendency to you know put their ass where their brain used to be in terms of their knowledge base because you know these autosare on a limited amount of time from groundbreak so you can’t really triage or allow a plant to heal itself appropriately in the proper window without tempting fate or other type of sexual anomalies Through what’s most likely and already a unstable seed that’s been rushed out to market
Auto have their place do not get me wrong but the genetics are hobbled out of the gate by taking the genetics and introducing bullshit into it because there’s some people out there that are in a rush towards money. (Shiocking)at the end of the day growing an auto really doesn’t save you any time at all Because the plants yield less they take up almost as much room if you operate in 3 gallon pots and give you a subpar product as compared to its feminine or regular counterpart
And in case you’re a believer in the hole never up pot Auto thing that is also absolute stupidity and poppycock every plant under the sun once more room for its root zone not up potting an auto because you might freak it out or something is most likely not you trying to help it. It’s the crappy genetics that’s been kneecap by a fucking breeder who’s greedy that shit grinds my gears man and please don’t read this in a negative context towards you or anything this is me trying to bust you off with some dope ass knowledge. The only time that I see Auto as being applicable is people who live in tight spaces That don’t have a lot of room that are in a cash crunch otherwise just get the better seed with a more stable percentage of inherent, genetic make up.

You gotta be fucking up horribly to cause a lockout, even with reuse soil, @BB22 one of the glaring things that a lot of people misses is that the entire time you have a plant in veg and it’s finishing you’re washing out all of the veg nutrients that were sitting in the pot by using flowering nutrients right so by the time you go to reuse it, there’s only nutrients that are left in the dirt and their trace at that point if your plant has been eating correctly in flowerbit’s not gonna be a detriment to any seedlings that you may have planted in that reuse dirt because it’s demand has nothing to do with p and k and its also not searching soil for feed, it already has everything it needs to get to a healthy veg being a seedling right? and you show me an overdosed seedling from PNK and I have a bridge to sell you while at the same time knowing that every time you feed your vegetative nutrients subsequently you’re washing anything else out the bottom of the pot or away from a younger plant root zone, so any type of lockout caused by reuse of soil is pretty much not going to be the case if you allow for proper wet, dry cycles in flower in the previous use.

Compost and worm castings.


if you feed a salt based synthetic feed over a worm casting or a highly compost based soil (this incoludes epsom salt and calcium phosphate @Putthataway those are still soluble salts) you can trigger an acidic cascade. A situation where almost no matter what you do your ph will continuously drift more acidic and youll be fighting lockout your entire grow. Burned leaves, scars, calcium & potassium & magnesium deficiency, all seemingly stacked on one another. Among other symptoms


Its a pretty uncommon thing though. Although lots of hydro stores have new growers in ocean forest + mfox farm trio, which is a recipe for just this kind of lockout its essentially the Chernobyl reactor 4 problem... just the soil acidity version. 9/10 times a new growers is fighting compounded issues they cant seem to figure out, its actually a lockout situation and they can find the source of their problems in either salted worm puke, or salted bat shit. Pure truth.

Given the fact that every week I try it to be recently 20,000 of those notifications I usually stop when my fingers start hurting and also as time goes on I kind of just gave up on trying to stop that But it’s been known to happen. I wish that I could tell people that start accounts here to make a dummy account that they would just never check and have that be the email account that they use as a notification dropbox for THC farmer because it can get pretty dumb. I posted a couple of weeks ago about the fact that I was off of the farm for about 2 to 3 days and when I came back, I had over 2000 notifications. I’ve never grown one luckily, used to say autos were good for beginners but I also don’t even believe that to be true anymore. Just doesn’t appeal to me. That’s my 2 cents which doesn’t mean much. But I’d be glad for someone to drop some otherwise unknown knowledge on me on how they think they are awesome lol

After I read that one guy comment, he’s not wrong because there are certain pluses to growing autos for beginner when you sit back and you think about it, but I would contest as well that that’s an exception type of deal and not the rule because in my opinion, when it comes to a new cannabis grower, there’s gotta be a small percentage of them that have most likely never grown any plants ever before And experiencewise only been exclusively cannabis. You know what I mean.?
There’s just a lot of lore and in my opinion, counterintuitive statements that have snowballed and picked up steam on message boards and forums having to do with auto problems that people misdiagnose and attribute to the fact that it’s just an auto that is the problem when most likely it’s inexperience or a lack of knowledge in a myriad of grower controlled circumstances
But if you were a strong fundamental grower on a hole, then not getting an auto across the finish line is kind of a hard thing to do, but otherwise you know like I’ve seen people fail them completely water way too much and end up with common white mushrooms growing in the soil because they’re too stupid to realize that putting 5 gallons of feed and a 5 gallon bucket every three hours to a plant just showing pre flower, while mxing out in height at 18 inches with full blast ff nutes well.
