Hey! Noobie here!

I have a 28x28 tent, an AC Infinity ionboard s22, and about 10 white widow (regular) seeds with a supposed 54-day flowering time.

What I’m wondering is how many I can grow in my set up and for how long before it becomes too cramped?

Also, wondering how well y’all think they would transition from indoor to outdoor and at what stage?

For example:
Could I start growing inside in May, veg 5-6 plants to pre-flower and bring them outside to finish in July? (Early summer here), or naw?

I’m not concerned about getting males or hermies or anything like that. All fem would be cool, but this would mainly be for the learning experience and/or a seed haul.

Trying to figure out how to get the most growing practise this year without expanding my indoor set up.

Thanks! :)

You can veg as many as will fit in your space. In 28x28, I'd be tempted to run either one plant or four plants through flower, but with some training you could make most plant counts work. In limited space, veg time goes down as plant count goes up. I flip to flower when my canopy reaches 50% of my flower footprint.

I have a 3x3 footprint inside my tent. When i run photoperiods veg to harvest i'll do just 3 in 3gal bags. Right now i've got 2 photoperiods in 7gal plastic and no room for anything else but maybe 3 1gal plastic.
You could do as many as you think you could handle and keep healthy. You could do 9 in 1gal pots then take 5-6 outdoors transplant into something 10gal or more. As you known with the reg seed you'll most likely get males how many who knows. You won't be able to flower them till late summer early fall when light starts getting shorter outdoors. Else you'll see reveg if you begin flower inside then move them outside during the long daylight days. You'd be screwed if that happens.

Hmm… 9 in one gallon pots is appealing.

I don’t know why I imagine light as a limited resource like I have to divide it between plants instead of total biomass.

I’d definitely get them outside well before flowering, I’d try to time my light schedule to sync with the amount of daylight for the transplant week.

I’m expecting 50/50 male and female.

Would be cool to put 4 males around one female outdoors for a seed haul, and flower the other 4 females in the tent, but that’s all very wishful thinking.

Hmm… I might just cross my fingers for 4 females and do that! Thank you!

I have the same tent and light. I only grow one plant at a time in it. I've found that that size tent is excellent for flowering a single plant.

Yes. You could do that. There are small fabric pots with Velcro sides that would work well for that purpose, but smaller pots would work, too. The tent has about 5.4 square feet of floor space, so, if a pot needs one square foot, you could get five of them in the tent. A 1-gallon pot probably would fit okay in 1 square foot.

I wouldn't grow them to pre-flower, though. I'd keep them in vegetation till I set them out, while trying to match light and dark duration in the tent to the outside conditions.

Oh, no! Statistics! It's not like rolls of dice though if interaction among the plants is considered. With dice, each roll is independent of other rolls, presuming the dice aren't loaded. Unlike dice, however, plants emit pheromones that are chemical messengers that can trigger responses in other plants. In other words, for plants the dice are loaded. That interaction complicates probabilities.
